2nd semester started today. i'm WICKED excited for english for 2 reasons: 1. we get to write a short story. 2. we're reading a charles dickens novel. i love dickens!

and plus, i'm excited because it's english, my favorite subject!

So I've been doing some more digging on the university I really want to go to, and apparently it costs just about as much to go as international student there as it would for me to go as an in-state student here, based on the five different in-states I used as reference. Definitely, definitely taking that year or two of community college (which, I know, sounds bad, but the local community college was ranked one of the best community colleges in the country) to save up monies, which coupled with the $7062 I'll be receiving between February and July. Now, sure, I'll still have to apply, but I figure it's better to save up all the moving expenses first, then worry about applying. If I don't get in, that's money for elsewhere. Certainly better than getting in and not being able to afford the plane and to ship stuff. Not even sure why I'm this giddy. Won't be applying until next summer at the very earliest.

I am really, really hoping the snow they're calling for happens. Not looking forward to school tomorrow. Having to go in on a Friday after taking the day off is bad enough, but going in and having two finals, a test, a quiz, and having to do a fifteen minute presentation all on a Friday after taking the day off? Eh, I'll pass, thanks. At the very least give us a delay, so I only have to do part of that mess.
