agree with you!We don't want to see Bond in "training" ...he's a MAN, he's together, he knows what he's up to. What are they doing... first asignment my .
NO EARLY YEARS FOR A BOND MOVIE , HE'S GROWN UP/MAN NOT AGENT CODY BANKS MY GOODNESS!

i think she should get fired but thats just me but if they take bond all the way back to his first mission then that would take him to Casino Royale right??? But if they take him allllllll the way back then i think its the worst idea ever.

I take it, you didn't grow up with the hit cartoon series, James Bond jr/? I loved that show groiwng up. I have the theme song stuck in my head right now as i type this. I even own a few of the books from my childhood. There was "Live and Let's Dance" and I think "A view to a Thrill" or something.

I thought they'd already done it with 'The Ian Fleming Story', starring 'Jason Connery' as 'Ian Fleming'. It was hinted ( if I remember correctly ) on Bond's first
mission at the end of the movie.
It sounds like a week attempt to do a 'Star Wars' prequel, but it just wouldn't work with Bond, unless it was a totally different film altogether.
Maybe EON are not happy with MGM's decision with the 'Jinx' movie, so they may be still considering a 'Jinx' and James Bond's first mission!.
But I sincerely hope not.
All the best,
Cheers,
Ian

Having source material(Fleming's novels) provides you with alot of cover! After Goldeneye, the folks at EON have constantly fallen back on old formulas(and plenty of explosions) in order to satisfy today's audience.have you noticed since Barbera took over her dads role in EON that the movies have been A) Lacking plot ( B )have had bad writing ( C ) have had bad casting and (D)they have had the worst bond themes ever
i think she should get fired but thats just me but if they take bond all the way back to his first mission then that would take him to Casino Royale right??? But if they take him allllllll the way back then i think its the worst idea ever.
I say a re-interpretation of CASINO ROYALE would be the best route to go. Many say it's not doable. If it isn't then incorporate some story elements into the next feature.
Having him go back to the beginning is excessive and unnecessary(it didn't really work in THE SUM OF ALL FEARS) and you run the risk of alienating the audience.
