I guess no one's feeling HERCULES IN NEW YORK. :)

CONAN THE BARBARIAN, TERMINATOR and PREDATOR are my favorites but for pure camp and a wealth of movie quotes, I've gotta go with...

COMMANDO.

Everyone in this film has their moment, no matter how insignificant the role. The action is so over the top, it truly is a comic book come to life.

* Arnold jumping out of an ascending airplane.
* Rae Dawn Chong as the harried put-upon sidekick.
* Vernon "Road Warrior" Wells as the psychopathic Bennett.
* The confrontation in the gardener's shed. Even if you didn't speak Spanish, you know what "Voy en y mirar" meant.

My favorite line of the film, when the Black mall security guard says "hey, you wanna see me kick some :)?!"

One of my personal favorites from Commando is:

"I eat Green Berets for breakfast! And right now...I'm VERY HUNGRY!"

The line that follows is pretty classic as well.

Okay, I can't use "a**" but I can say "Pussy Galore?!" :)

I just had to remark on my quote being censored. :)

"These guys eat too much red meat!"

Has anyone have heard Jerky Boy's "Arnold Pizza Shop", and the Prank calls using sound snippets from the film?
Some are hillarious.

Commando, I have to add that to my collection. Bill Duke is awesome!!

Yeah, and there's the infamous KINDERGARTEN COP phone prank found on consumptionjunction.com. :)

Bill Duke was great in COMMANDO but he really outdid himself in PREDATOR.

"I'm gonna have me some fun! I'm gonna have me some fun!"

He's a good actor and an exceptional filmmaker. Check out HOODLUM, DEEP COVER and A RAGE IN HARLEM if you get the chance.

BTW, apparently Carl "Apollo Creed" Weathers was on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE a couple of weeks ago. Basically it was an election skit. Carl's decided to run for governor and figures folk's should vote for him on the rationale that both Arnold and Jesse Ventura both starred in PREDATOR and eventually became governor.

"Pick a state, any state. I don't care!"

Yes Duke did great in Predator, and very talented. He's on my list, "D'oh who should have been in that role in the Bond film" (I could picture him as Falco, straight away) I wanted to see more scenes of him in Red Dragon. Seen the movies you've mentioned. He certaintly could hold his own as a filmaker. As for Carl Weathers as Govenor, Give or take a few years, it's very possible. Hey, Politics is a very funny thing. A terminator has been elected, a once professional wrestler, actor, navy seal captain freedom has been elected, why not Action Jackson.

As cheesy as they were, a lot of those lines are hilarious. Long live Ahnuld.

Another favorite of mine is from Red Heat, when Belushi is telling him about how the Miranda system works:

"But I don't WANT to touch his a**!"

Running Man:

Amber - "What happened to Buzzaw?"
Richards (Arnold) - "He had to split"

Amber - "I warn you I get sick, car sick, air sick I'm going throw up all over you"
Richards (Arnold refering to his tropical shirt) - "Go ahead it want change this shirt."

"How 'bout a light?"
"What a hot head"

CONAN was a true epic. Y'know, they could run that an SCARFACE back to back and I'd stay up and watch both!

James Earle Jones as Thulsa Doom:

"Come to me my child, come here." (female cult follower walk off a rockface just to get closer to him)

Doom gestures to the end result and says, "THAT is power!"

An 'effing classic.

I wasn't so crazy about the movie, but I do hafta say that Conan The Barbarian has one of the GREATEST scores ever written, IMO. Fantastic music from the very talented Basil Poledouris - that man works wonders with a choir.

I have a soft spot for Eraser, it's really a fun film. There's something very eighties about the film just in terms of style that I love.

I too love Eraser. Can't really explain it - there's a fun simplicity to it, along with a good cast, and yet again, more good score...lol, damn I'm a geek.

Here are some of my favorite quotes from the films I mentioned earlier:

Total Recall: "Consider that a divorce!"-Quaid, " Hey man! I've got five kids to feed!!" Benny the cab driver

The Running Man: " Killian, I'll be back!! " "Only in a re-run! " Richards and Killian

Eraser: "Nobody screws with the union!" Tony (two-toes), " Then he must have shown you the secret handshake." "What?" Bang!!- Lee shooting one of Degaren's men

Commando: " Rember Sully when I promised to kill you last? " "That's right Matix, you did!!" " I lied!!"
" I'll be back Bennett!!" "John, I'll be ready John."

True Lies: "Now what the hell were you thinking? I mean I had the guy and you let him get away. What kind of a cop are you? Look at me when I'm talking to you" Harry to his horse after it refuses to jump off the roof.

Kindergarden Cop: "My name is John Kimble and I love my car!" "Yo man I'm just keep an eye on it for ya!" Kimble to the street punks.

Another ERASER quote:

"Take that you dirty ****in' Russians!"

"They're not Russians anymore. They're a confederation of independent states."

"Don't make me hurt you Mikey."

lol! That was a great one indeed, Robinson.
But actually, now that I think about it, didn't Tony Two-Toes originally call them Commies?

Robert Pastorelli was great in that movie - he made a good sidekick for Ahnuld.

"Get your a** up here, I'll jump start it for ya!"

I liked the concept of PREDATOR 2 but the execution was poor.

The urban setting was fine even though the whole "gangs have the city under seige" is a bit much. I though Danny Glover was good, as was the supporting cast. It's just that the dialogue was so cliched. Note to producers: Danny glover can act, you don't need to give him so many four-letter words.

I thought the climax was great and the Alien cameo was the high point of the movie.

I always figured a PREDATOR 3 sequel would team Ah-nold and Glover. Have them both abducted by a band of PREDATORS and forced to hunt with them on some uncharted world.

COMMANDO had a great score. It's roots however, are found in 48 HOURS. Horner's notorious for having similar film scores.

I like it too, though as more of a guiltry pleasure than anything else. It has a great late eighties/early nineties cast and good special effects.
