Agreed. Not to mention Predator. That would have been very interesting. I like Silvestri's work in the Back to the Future films.

Pirates of the Caribbean?.

Oh yeah, he did do that. I forgot. I love the main title theme. One of the few songs I don't mind having stuck in my head.

I actually like POTC, thought it was a fun movie.
I can never understand why people pick apart movies so closely, no movie is perfect, and if go searching for problems, your going to end up finding them.

I like the movie too. It's a fun, exciting film that does exactly what it sets out to do: entertain.

That was the biggest disappointment for 2003 for me! When I had found out that Silvestri was to score, all I could think was "HOW PERFECT!!!" His score for The Mummy Returns is a classic modern adventure score, and it was a horrible, horrible shame that Jerry Shmuckheimer ditched him for a run-of-the-mill, generic MediaVentures score. One wonders how Alan Silvestri would have handled the project. Shame he was replaced before he even recorded anything, otherwise we might have at least gotten a rejected score out of the project, much like Goldsmith and Timeline.
Well, at least we'll have his score to this year's Van Helsing to look forward to!!!

I saw this movie , and for me it sucks...the only good thing it's the interpretation of Johnny Depp , but that don't saves the movie from a big stupid pirates film.
