I would have to say Yes... and I have the evidence to prove it! Think she looks incrediaby sexy in this picture and who can beat a British accent for a Bond girl. We no longer need Saffron Burrows because we have ROSAMUND PIKE!!!

It maybe just me, but she certainly looks a little like Honor Blackman (in her Pussy Galore guise) in the bottom photo on the left.Blue Eyes (14 Jan, 2002 12:14 a.m.):
Pike is a step back to the Honor Blackmans and the Usula Andresses. Not sleazy, not pørn star like. But bloody amazing all the same.

Blue Eyes (29 Jan, 2002 06:35 a.m.):
What Blofelds Cat isn't mentioning is that he has quite a thing for Asian women. I'm not sure about this, but I think a few people may have interpreted his comment as having a go at Pike or something. Not so, is it BC?

I said in an earlier post above that I think she is drop-dead gorgeous.
And yes, Blue Eyes you are right. I live in a country FULL of beautiful oriental ladies, all with smiles. It's very frustrating, but my wife keeps me on the straight and narrow.

My original intention was to consider that Rosemund Pike looked a little oriental in that particular pic, and thinking it could have some bearing on the Korean setting.
Just look at those doe eyes. Delicious.

Water, water, all around....
Delicious.

I think she's gorgeous, and with her acting (stage and screen) experience she should do very very well.
Just, please EON, don't let her be a baddy. Pleeeeeeasssse :-)

I think two of the themes of Bond 20 are the BIG mystery of the traitor who betrays 007's mission to North Korea & 007's revenge against the culprit responsible for his incarceration & torture. Plenty of suspects...Frost...Col Moon...Falco...Jinx. Should make for an excellent mystery adventure and GOD HELP THE ONE WHO BETRAYS BOND !.Jay (14 Jan, 2002 10:56 p.m.):
BTW, with this news about Pike playing an MI6 agent remember in Moonraker Gala Brand was undercover. Even though EON may be getting rid of the name, Brand, the character could still be undercover in the main baddie's group as the scientist that was mentioned before. but my gut which is rarely wrong is telling me she will be a traitor to MI6 and Jinx will find this out and reveal it to Bond. I say this because I saw in the press conference Berry saying that Jinx will help Bond uncover a traitor!

I was only telling someone yesterday that my eyes must be going as I'm reading the posts in the printable version more often now.Blofeld's Cat (14 Jan, 2002 04:46 a.m.):

Well, this ridiculous post of mine blatantly confirmed my fears. 8-)
Anyway, Rosemund Pike is drop-dead gorgeous, and if James Page wants to fight over her, its dueling pistols at 20 paces. But blindfolded, to even up the odds due to my apparent affliction.

Pike, sexy? Yes very. She's not your normal Bond girl sexy as Mr * said. That's the sort of sexy that belongs to Denise Richards. It's the large breasts, pørn star look. The girl who likes it every which way she can get it.
Pike is a step back to the Honor Blackmans and the Usula Andresses. Not sleazy, not pørn star like. But bloody amazing all the same.

And a very welcome one at that, in my household anyways!

I was beginning to worry about the Brosnan era, the women were getting a bit too obvious.
The observation about Tatiana is spot on, she was far removed from Ryder, but sizzled none the less.

Well it ain't over the brown eye, coz I don't have one.Evil Doctor Cheese (28 Jan, 2002 04:22 p.m.):
Have you got your eye patch over the wrong eye BC?

But, she does look a little oriental in the eyes department. It was my better half that noted it, and she has chinese heritage.
So, I wasn't about to argue with the trouble & strife.

Unless they mean Colonel Moon. Remember, his father wants peaceful reunification and he is probably going to try to kill his father, shades of Elektra, not known to be the main villain at first but revealed to be such midway through. Still, your idea is equally feasible. I guess I just don't want to see Rosamund killed onscreen:-( Of course if she was it'd still work.

I don't know why I hadn't thought of this before, but I'm thinking it's probably Falco. He is, after all, a CIA agent and while it's said he's a rogue that could be something we weren't meant to know. Something to ponder.

Pierce Brosnan is 48, but he looks a decade younger, and Bond is in his permanent mid-thirties, according to Fleming.
I think they'll make a lovely couple.

Admittedly, she and Pierce wouldn't make as improbable a couple as Roger and Tanya Roberts... but still, 48-year old Pierce with a girl barely out of college? I hope the relationship doesn't come across badly (i.e., inappropriate) on screen...
