Ha! You don't know how relevant a question that is for someone in the Gulf area!

Fried shrimp, given the choice.

Fried pickle chips, or fried green bean "fries"? (Both are readily available here. It's why Mississippi is the most obese state in the union.)

I can't stand refried beans, but I have a lovely singing voice and a penchant for comfortable chairs, so I'll take the flight. :cooltongue:

And incidentally, they can fry anything here.

so...

Fried catfish

or

Fried chicken livers? (Yep.)

Only because it doesn't make my stomach rise to my throat quite as much the fried Catfish (which I like anyway) :cooltongue:

Ok, you think you guys have it bad.. let me present the Ohio weird cuisine this or that:

Scrapple (a mix of pig "extras" and corn meal made into a terrine, sliced and pan fried - served with maple syrup)

or

Buckeyes (balls of peanut butter mixed with powdered sugar and loads of butter dipped 3/4s of the way up the side in milk chocolate)

for the sake of argument, as a native Ohioan, I'd go for the scrapple every time! It's one of those delicious and bizarre homemade dishes (you'll never see it in a restaurant or the grocery store) that farmers make every season for their families.. very tasty, I miss it

Buckeyes, only because they sound better than pork organs w/ syrup.
And I'm used to butter overload. Gaah.

(Though they sound like something I'd see at the counter at a gas station.)

Fried eggplant or fried zucchini?

Choosing the one that I can stomach with slightly more ease, cheese on toast (I randomly hate cheddar, but not cheezits or goldfish. :cooltongue: ).

Calamari salad

or

Octopus sashimi?

(Judo...of COURSE you would love eel rolls. Of course you would. We're up to 4/5 B's and an E. Getting weird.)

Jeez...you "out-hurt" me. Let's take the pool. The water would be a relief.
