Ok, you think you guys have it bad.. let me present the Ohio weird cuisine this or that:
Scrapple (a mix of pig "extras" and corn meal made into a terrine, sliced and pan fried - served with maple syrup)
or
Buckeyes (balls of peanut butter mixed with powdered sugar and loads of butter dipped 3/4s of the way up the side in milk chocolate)
for the sake of argument, as a native Ohioan, I'd go for the scrapple every time! It's one of those delicious and bizarre homemade dishes (you'll never see it in a restaurant or the grocery store) that farmers make every season for their families.. very tasty, I miss it
