Good lord no Bondian!!

As for Shaken Not Stirred. I'm led to believe EON use it as the working title for every film their working on. I don't know how true that is of course.

What about "Risico" ?
Isn't that one of the remaining titles of a Fleming short story that has not been used yet ?

Or "The Quantum of Solace"? I always thought that would make quite a cool yet strange title for a film?

I think EON is missing a bet by not using John Gardner's book titles.

WIN LOSE OR DIE,for example.Or ICEBREAKER and FOR SPECIAL SERVICES.

Here's one of my own:
DEATH BEFORE DISHONOUR

I don't think that's correct EON use that as a working title for each film. I remember during the pre-production period on TND there was a big rumour on the CORONA COMING ATTRACTIONS site that there was a fan treatment or script called "SHAKEN NOT STIRRED". So the whole thing may have snowballed from there. Anyway, don't EON always use "BOND # whatever" as the working title ?.

I don't think you can come up with a title until a script is written. The title usually always has something to do with the movie its self. USUALLY. I agree they should use some of the unused Fleming titles though if it works. Lets hear what its going to be about, otherwise we're going to be going off on non-sense titles like every other time there's a new Bond movie that is completely irrelevant to anything, generic&simple, or a rip off of other Bond titles.

1. No kill, die, death, dying, live, living, forever, always, ...
2. No chapter titles and no gaga-titles like: Shaken not stirred, Nobody does it better, 007, Secret Services, ...
3. No lines from Title-Songs
4. No names from computer games
5. No titles from Gardner or Benson novels

Dr Goldballs-raker is For Your Russia with a view to a daylights, but Tomorrows live forever and let Thundermoon die, only not on Her Majesty's Man with the licence to GoldenEye (who loved not enough) another day.

This will be the next title if Eon keeps recycling Fleming's once-clever parodies of quotes.

"Bond in Africa?"

Haha - good call on the "Shaft" reference, HowiePussy.

Now, I have a great question for all of you - how can you name a damn movie without knowing what the hell it's about??? This drives me nuts.

Ask whoever came up with 'Die Another Day'. Or 'The World Is Not Enough'. Or 'Tomorrow Never.....oh you get it. Name one Bond movie who's title was arrived at after the script was written and that hasn't just been applied to fit renamed characters or had its premise sledgehammered into a scene in which a character says it. Only Dr No and Goldfinger have any relevance at all, and the villain's names could easily have been anything else. 'Lets call the movie "Thunderball"- it really sums up the deep emotional changes that go on within Bond's psyche...'

I suppose 'Licence To Kill' is kinda relevant. But its a rubbish title. And TSWLM has more than one scene in which its title is applicable to the situation in which Bond finds himself. But only just.

I hope there's no reference to death--i.e. Die(s), Kill, Death; that has become such a cliche.
And there's no need for abstract titles like "Tomorrow Never Dies" or possible "Everything or Nothing"...they don't hold any significance

I think they should go for a one-word title. Like Goldeneye, Thunderball and Moonraker (and also John Gardners novels Scorpius and Brokenclaw.)

OR

Using a title with 'The Man From...' or 'The Man With...'
The title The Man From Barbarossa by John Gardner is probably one of the best titles on a Bond book!
The Man With The Golden Gun and The Man With The Red Tattoo is also great!

i think we need a title with the name of th ebad guy in it, like Goldfinger or Dr NO. The difficult task is to find a great villains name.......
