Assuming Benson's three short stories are put together, are they, in themselves, long enough to warrant a whole book? Octopussy & The Living Daylights is an incredibly thin book as it is. From what I've understood, Benson's short stories are very short.

Indeed, it would be a VERY short book, 'Live At Five' itself takes up about two magazine size pages.

I'd still love to see it, Benson always aid he wanted to write a few more short stories, before a collected novel of them together was created, but there is now little chance of that now.

I will continue to wait, but I'll eventually get the other two of his I need.

Yes Bensons short stories are very short but really is there anything to stop him from adding another couple of short stories to fill up a book!?

I'd love it if he did and he should have done more, but it's not for me to say what he should or should not have wrote. I think he's turned his back on Bond for good, so it's too bad that we can't look forward to any new ones from him. :)

I find it hard to believe that a Bond fan like Benson has turned his back on Bond for good.

Yeah but he has been a Bond fan for years and years...I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

I have to say, it must be such a task to write all those Bond books, the ideas and formulas you have to follow, I guess one can tire of it. Oh well, I hope we get someone new soon!

It's easy to see why Gardner got tired of Bond after putting out a new 007 novel almost every year for 14 years.

Well yes, I can understand that, it's just that time has flown by since Benson has started. It went faster than I thought! Even though I didn't start reading them when he first started.
