As much as I would love for Pierce Brosnan to tie Moore's record and do seven...he won't, because he knows he can't.

There is a caveat to above. If the movies are filmed back to back like the Matrix films were, he might get away with that, but I can't see that happening so that is that.

Brosnan will quit at 5 movies....like Connery should have quit for good after you Only Live Twice and Roger shoulda left after Four Eyes Only. Just give him a good one to go out on, they tried to give the other two...but they kept coming back...

If he don't go... Im not going basically. I don't think with the exception and novelity of GE after 6 yrs one of his films has lived up to hype and anticipation. We'll see what happens when JB 6 rolls into town if Brosnan stays after 5

I think after 21, it may be time to step out.

As Madonna said- "It's not my time to go."

Nope, don't think it would hurt the franchise if he went. Bond's lasted 40 yrs pretty naive to think a new actor is going to kill him off.

I'd rather look like Sinatra at 50 than Brosnan, but hey, thats just me! :)

I think the cut off age for a Bond actor should be 55. Brosnan will be 52 when he films Bond 21. If Bond 22 is release in 2007 Brosnan will only be 54. Brosnan's last Bond in the year 2007 would be a great way to go out.

I'd would rather Brosnan leave to late then to early.

Connery's scene entering bed with Tiffany Case, is the most gruesome sequence in cinema history, it makes want to go to the gym, with the motivation to never ever see myself like that."

LOL! That's why Roger kept his shirt on after TMWTGG. :)

Well I wouldn't mind seeing Brosnan in Bond 22. I don't think he looks old at all. But if he did leave after Bond 21 I wouldn't be too disappointed; he's had a great run, given us four (possibly five) good films (please don't debate), and when it is his time to go he will go.

I don't think he'll stay on after 21 He'll be too old.
I think he'll want to retire gracefully and leave it alone
I mean he's been doing this since '95

it would be perfect timing. He started in '95 he could leave in '05. Ten years of being bond i think is enough.

OK Xen I won't debate the merrits of his films and I'll say he's given several servicable performances as Bond. He didn't write or direct the films he starred in. I think he created an expectation that he would retire after four films based on his interviews. If he stayed on for two more and all had been released in the order of '95,'97,'99,'01,'03 and '05 I wouldn't really care too much but they way things have gone with such lackluster installments and with having to wait 3 years again, with his youth, looks, and apparent enthusiasm for the role rapidly diminishing, I'm very dissapointed he's coming back and that he would even consider hanging around even longer. :)

You know, people do get old. I don't see what so bad about Roger Moore in AVTAK. The only thing that was weird were his train tracks on his neck. Other than that, I think he looked pretty good for 57. I say Brosnan looks fine. I like having Bond look a bit weathered.

Brosnan has aged well, but like he said earlier, 6 would be pushing it, and 2005 is still over a year away, and 2 years until Bond 21 premieres, a long time to wait for his likely last Bond film anyway, thats why he's doing so many projects now while he's still Bond, he'll probabley retire from films after Bond 21, in my opinion, can't see a old Pierce hanging around, not everyone is Sean Connery and looking cool being old, Connery I think projected a great image of a older man from the late 80s and into the 90s, The Rock etc.

Remember those comments, when Pierce talks about being slim and not having too many pints while being the leading man, he's going to enjoy retirement.

I think 5 is the limit for any Bond actor.
