Aw, its really a shame. Really great stuff indeed.

My guess on the difference between Body Double on the soundtrack and in the film is just the fact that it's been compressed to fit the film's pacing. Not that I know what the difference is, that's just my guess because most tracks usually are trimmed some to fit the final film.

Hi!

Level007, concerning those cues, I don't have much time right now, maybe you can contact me in the Christmas holidays or February?

Body Double in the film is the same Body Double, but there's some techno and also some instruments left out. Mine is not the real Film Version however, since I basically took the first half minute from the film and then took the Album Version, because on the DVD there's too much noise with the dogs and so.

Greetz!

This Question is for Lotman:
IS it possible to rip the music without Dialogue or FX? It seems that you can't....but if you can tell us. And if you can't tell us how you minimized the sounds of dialogue and FX. Thanks!

No, it's not possible, and if there are a lot of SFX, well, there will be a lot of SFX, but the rear channels are quite clean in comparison with for example Die Another Day. What I did was comparing: the rear channels, with the front channels, with the rear and front channels - then, this is of course subjective, comparing the sound quality with the amount of SFX. (E.g., I sometimes ended up with a few more SFX in a track than if I would have chosen the rear channels only, but the reason being that the sound quality is just a lot better. Of course it depends a lot on the SFX, and in the end half of the tracks are essentially put together by these three options (cf. above). These tracks begin for example with the rear channels only track, then continues with the mix of rear and front, and so on. I hope this clears up things. (There's no dialogue I think though, but there are SFX of course, but they don't mind me, I got a relatively clear sound.)
Greetz!

Thanks for the help! I did what the instructions said on jwfan.net and I ended up with dialogue and the SFX. Is there a way to turn down the volume on these, and how do you change the channels? I have Magix Music Studio Deluxe 2004. Thanks for the help!

I do it with a 'prehistoric' mix program, so I can't help you. I don't know if it's quite possible to turn the volume down without losing music. Anyone?

To change channels: you make for example two stereo tracks, put them nicely synchronic with each other, and then fade in and out...

Thanks for all the help you have been! One last question: Do you use Magix Music Generation 6 software? If you do, is this how you change channels by using this software. My Magix music studio Deluxe doesn't do this. I can get a copy of the Generation 6 software...but I want to know if this is the software you use. Once again "My profound thanks!"(Stromberg-TSWLM)

One other question is do you use BeSure? If you do...do you click DTS-CD AC3-CD or CDDA-CD. I use the CDDA-CD because I don't have a dobly digital coder. Can you play DTS-CD's in a regular stereo or car radio? If not CDDA-CD only makes one WAV file...so I'll have to try and figure out how to isolate everything. Thanks for any help you can be.

No I don't use that. But you just have to insert another track, so that you have one too many. Then you align them, and make one silent while the other plays.

DTS-CD should do it, you get 6 different wav files. Go to JWFAN.net, there are at least two threads where it's all explained, one by Stefancos and one by me I think.

Greetings!

I was wanted to say thanks Lotman! I figured it out. There is no dialogue and the sound fx don't ruin the music when you change the channel. Thanks for all of your help.

Hi,

Thanks for all the info, but I am still having great problems.

I have followed all the instructions to the letter, but I am still unable to create these wav. files. I managed to create the vob. file using Smart Ripper, but I am having real problems with the besweet and besure programs. I cannot open Besweet because it claims I need a GUI for it. I have downloaded this several times from the suggested website but it is still saying that I need this GUI file. Aside from this, Besure seems to be running O.K., I have filled in all the relevant info, but on pressing "Go", it says that the Encoding has finished, but I when I check the Temp. folder, there is nothing there. I have looked at the log record, and it says "Error 75: Unable to get VOBinput.dll interfaces" I have downloaded the file from the suggested website several times again, and when I unzip it, I only get a small text document. Is this right? I have tried many times to get the wav. files but I haven't got anything.

Have I done anything wrong? Is there anyone who can help me?

I don't know exactly, my guesses are the following:

You have to select the Gui file in besweet or besure.

Or, you have to put the Gui in the same file as the program which needs it.

RP01:
I'm still new at this (Many posts are filled with questions). However, when you unzip the VOB file you have to unzip it into the same folder as the besweet program. Don't unzip somewhere else and move it into the folder....it won't work. I use Besweet and Besure without the Besweet GUI. Unzip Besweet into it's own folder on your computer, then unzip the VOb file into the besweet file. Download Besure into a separate file. When you run Besure select DTS-CD (this will give you 6 WAV files), go to the other tab and find your besweet program. Click the picture of the composer and Besure will read the directory. Pick a location that you want the files to be downloaded to (I usually pick a new folder Ex. die another day is the folder the ripped files, so die another day 1 is for the WAV files). Next go to the top of besure and pick the audio file (0x80) and click go. You will get 6 WAV files.
