Hellow!

I have been busy this week: I finally finished my own 'complete' TWINE version - with the unreleased tracks ripped from my DVD. Well, not only ripped; I compared the F tracks (front channels) with the S tracks (back channels) for each cue, and I tried to mix them properly, keeping an ear on the SFX and on the quality of the music. I mixed some tracks even four or five times, even if they only last one minute...

Just happy to let you guys know; anybody else who has done that?

Btw, I've already burned them onto CD, but do you have any other suggestions for bonus tracks on the CD?

Greetings!

They can't exactly do anything about it. If he were to post all the tracks on the net then they'd probably take action.

:)

Actually, it's none of their business. I made it myself, for private use and for my own enjoyment. I have the OST release, and I used the DVD to make my own 2CD because I like Arnold's soundtrack a lot. It's not that I am going to sell it of course.

What software did you use to do that? I'd love to make my own soundtracks from several films that never warranted a CD release.

If you are referring to how you can rip the audio channels from a DVD, go to jwfan.net, 'other topics'. A sticky thread is sticking there. Or you can search another thread in which I posted how to do this.
Good luck!

Lotman, how many tracks did your TWINE compilation end up with? And what's the average length of each track?

I have another question, can ripping be done with a regular compact disk drive. Or is a DVD drive required?

Hello Lotman,

I have also created my own 2CD edition of the TWINE score from the 5.1 mix on the DVD. It turned out fairly well, but I'm interested in hearing what your work sounds like. Would you like to exchange files, perhaps over ICQ or another messaging program?

And to answer your question johnboy007, you need a DVD ROM drive.

It takes hours to send tracks over the internet by e-mail at both ends so rather than begging for them, why don't you arrange a trade?
That's what I've always done when people have sent me music. That way it's fair at both ends.

It would take hours on a dial-up connection, but I have a cable modem, so HA! Anyways Lotman, if you want anything, just PM me.

Why would you include the edited film version of the title song in your track list? It should be the full song.

Because I don't think it's entirely the same - but I'm not sure: I think it has some very minor other techno accents; but even if it were the same version but edited, I would still include the film version, because my DVDs are region 2: they have a higher pitch than region 1 DVDs (or something like that): they sound a bit higher than the original sound (e.g. on region 1 DVDs). Since the soundtrack has the original sound of course, that would make it hard to edit the album version in between Hot Air Balloon and Funeral Hymn if you will - it doesn't sound right. The same notes and tones wouldn't be the same. Moreover, I wasn't really interested to make a 'clean version' of Hot Air Balloon for instance, because you would lose a few bars, and I like the transition/mix to the song. Anyway, the album version also fills my second CD in the 'bonus' section, so I didn't see a reason to edit the title song.
Or did I misunderstood your question?

(Btw, I am a student and I'm only at home in the weekend. That should explain it all :) I have a fast internet connection as well, but I prefer to trade in the normal way I guess. And to all the people that asked for a cue, I'll see what I can do, btw, does your mailaccount accept enough Mb?)

Greetings!

Your editing software should have the capability to correct the pitch of your R2 rips. Just bring it down about 4% and you should be fine.

Gotta love PAL speedup.

Lotman, yes my email should be able to accept your file. I really don't have anything to trade... just about everything I have is official soundtrack stuff (at least with regards to Bond).

Hi,

I am new to this forum but an absolutely massive fan of the Bond films - and in particular of the music. Looking over the various threads, this one really caught my eye. As a person who doesn't mind David Arnold's scores that much, am I right in that some people on this forum have been able to extract the unreleased soundtrack music from The World Is Not Enough (without speech and SFX) from the DVD. I was disappointed by the length of the TWINE soundtrack and would love to be able to make my own. If any one could tell me how to do this on my PC I'd be very grateful - I have the Region 2 Bond DVD Boxset at home.

Hi lotman !

Can we put what you did on a website ? you may now that i ve made a website last year, www.welcomebond.fr.st , which i didn't update for a long time (sorry...). In this website i put some unreleased score track that i extracted. But it will be a pleasure to put your work on my website, and why not collaborate together on this website or on yours if you have one ?
I think we should only put the unreleased track on the site to avoid legal problems.

Told me if you are interested.
here s my adress [email protected]

Julien

P.S.: everyone please continue to sign the DAD vol2 score petition !!!!!!!

Can anyone extract some tracks for DAD? There's a lot of tracks on there I want. Primarily:
*Surfing intro
*"His name is James Bond, a British Assassin."
*Iceland intro
*car chase (in Ice Palace)

Hi hunter C.
I am not sure it's possible to extract them without FX. i tried and others did, but with no success. It's so bad because there is really great cues that are missing from the soundtrack.

One question Lotman...since it has been a while since i've seen TWINE, what is the difference between the film version and the sountrack version of Body Double?
