During the interview with Jill St John she made the claim (in an offhand manner) that she was in that car during the infamous two-wheel stunt in DAF....who is she trying to kid?
Did anyone else catch this?

Other than Michelle Yeoh?
It was reported in the 80s that Maryam D'Abo did a lot of her own stunts and she does describe what it felt like guiding that cello case, driving the jeep and punching out the Russian soldier, riding the horse and falling on the ground, falling several feet onto a cushion into Tim's arms, etc.
Also, I think Octopussy had a lot of women doing some of their stunts. Kristina Wayborn was a serious athlete and insisted on doing that balcony drop (one of my favorite scenes in any Bond film) along with other action scenes.

You are correct on both accounts Jaelle... Maryam D'Abo does describe the sheer terror she was feeling on that cello case and if it had not been for a member of the crew diving and catching the cello case it all could have ended very nastily indeed.

Yeah, I would agree with this.

She was the one responsible for guiding the case, and Tim being heavier than her, and she was so slight, it was very hard for her to do. It kept veering to the side and stopping and sliding on the snow.

Hmm, careful fella.
Can we say we don't so much hate Chris Wright as we do Righty007? I feel you would have something to say about that.

Let's hope she didn't mean the moment when the car moved from its two right wheels to its two left ones!

Yes, and in one of the documentaries it is mentioned that they lost total control of the case and a crew member had to dive and catch the case in one instance because it was about to head down a particulartly precarious slope.

Envy: Bitter contemplation of another's success.
Jealous: Watchfully tenacious, suspicious, resentful, of rivalry in success.
Timothy Dalton: Messiah, demigod, man of great deeds, person of extreme courage.

Why don't you believe her? To lie about something like that would be so stupid. Like I said before, they probably had the car stable so that people could be inside without the risk of the car being fliped over or soemthing.Originally posted by CommanderBond

Sorry, Jaelle. It was mean't to be a joke, but it's clearly backfired. It was basically mean't to convey that you are jealous of all the women who have got close to Timothy Dalton and you would get your revenge one way or another.
My sense of humour gets the better of me sometimes. I hope you are not too upset with me.

Oh dear, I guess MY sense of humor didn't show thru enuf! I was *joking* with you, MNL. I didn't take your post seriously, I thought it was very funny. You know how I feel about you! You're a huggable English gentleman, like I said before.

I nice hug from you Jaelle seems like heaven to me. I am relieved and thankful that I did not upset you. I have been called many things in my time, but I have never been called an English gentleman. Cheers!
