Connery is brilliant in his first two. Great in the next two. Then he seems tired or less-interested. Hope this doesn't happen with Craig, cause he OWNS Bond so far.

The toughness of Sean Connery mixed with the suaveness of Roger Moore equals my favourite James Bond...Pierce Brosnan.

Eh????????????

What I meant was that Pierce Brosnan's performances mirrored the best qualities of Connery and Moore as Bond IMO - he had Sean's toughness and Roger's suave attitude in his interpretation of the role. I also meant to imply that I didn't find Connery very believable when he tried to act sophisticated (when he was reeling off the names of expensive wines, etc.) or Moore when he tried to do violent scenes (like when he roughs up Maud Adams in TMWTGG.)

This was a hard decision because I like each incarnation of James Bond played by these actors equally. Well, here it goes...

1. Daniel Craig
2. Roger Moore
3. Sean Connery
4. Timothy Dalton
5. Pierce Brosnan
6. George Lazenby

sean is my man, but I had to vote for sir roger. He's always dissed by many nowadays.

1. Sean- CHARISMA. Raw, powerful, animalistic, tough.
2. Daniel- very human. Has wide range of emotions. Very badass.
3. Timothy- I believe him as a secret agent that can kill. But he lacks the charm and suaveness fans want from their cinematic 007.
4. Roger- his class and sophistication is charming. But I don't believe him in fighting scenes.
5. Pierce- can be suave and serious at the same time. But he lacks the badassness the others have.
6. George- he has no class and sophistication in him. The only Bond actor I don't appreciate except for his physicality.

Hi All,
Does anyone have that photo, where all the previous Bond actors until Pierce Brosnan are pictured together?
I recall having seen this a while back, but can't seem to find it on the net. They are walking beside each other, and it's a pretty good photo.

Respectfully, I'd have to disagree. Connery had a raw animalistic approach to his toughness, that, is something Brosnan has never showcased. As for having Moore's suaveness, again I don't see it. Moore was charming and suave whereas Brosnan had this smug cockyness about him. As for Connery's sophostcation, imo he is the only Bond that I could believe when he was reeling off trivia he knew, wether it was various types of alchohol, perfumes or other types of facts and "general knowledge". However, I'll give you, that Brosnan was definitely tougher than Moore and Moore's tougher scenes are the least conincing of any Bond actor...imo of course.

2. Daniel Craig
3. Timothy Dalton
4. Roger Moore
5. Pierce Brosnan
6. George Lazenby

I love them all though, Lazenby's only at the bottom of the list, due to the fact that he is the weaker actor out of the six. Still love him though. :(

1- Pierce- What can I say? For me he really captured the mix of snobbery, humour and colied danger that is quintessential Bond. He had a few awful scripts, but I think he was born to play the role.

2- Roger- I grew up with Roger, so he WAS James Bond to me. Perhaps if my first few exposures to 007 had been with Sean, it woould be a different story, but this was the guy when I was growing up in the late 70's/ early 80's.

3- Sean- He created the mold! Still as unflappably cool as ever.

4-George/Timmy- I really can't rank these guys as I enjoy them both equally. I hated Dalton at first, thought he was way too serious...then along came the Tarzan we have now. He has grown on me, especially with LTK. Lazenby wasn't given a fair shake- he was great in the action scenes and had strong screen presence. I also think OHMSS is the best movie in the series by far.

5- Daniel- I really detest Daniel Craig in this role. Too much "Hulk smash" not enough "Gentleman Spy". Sadly, he has spoiled Bond for me (though I am quite aware I am in quite the minority on this opinion).

1) Connery-He was the first, and (undisputedly) the best. Great stunts, great dialogue. Definitely THE best.
2) Craig-I absolutely LOVE Craig and his work with Bond. He's brought back a lot of emotions and "realism" that the Bond franchise had been lacking for many years.
3) Dalton-Just like Connery and Craig, he brought a sense of darkness back to Bond after many years of campiness and silliness. Although he only did two, I really like Dalton's performances.
4) Moore-While I like Roger, there were no real emotional performances from him (unlike Craig and Connery). Maybe if they had shown some emotions for his Bond I would have liked him a lot more.
5)Brosnan-One word: CGI. Sure, GoldenEye was cool, and I like Tomorrow Never Dies. But after that, there was WAAAY too much CGI in his films than I could count. Plus, the characters were just kind of flat and boring.
6) Lazenby-Mind you, he was just coming off from Connery. It would have been a little hard to do. I do like On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, but because Lazenby only did one, I can only judge him on that film. He's my least favorite.
