DLibrasnow - I can't think of any group, but there is a fan discussion board at www.simonsays.com/cussler. Cussler's PR woman, Carole, posts there often, giving us whatever updates she is allowed. I strongly suggest it for a Pitt fan. Currently, the big topic of discussion is James Purefoy as Dirk Pitt (he's become the answer to Hugh Jackman's blunder).
Kev: Pitt is a Marine Engineer for an organization called the National Underwater and Marine Agency (NUMA). Doesn't sound very exciting, but he is also a Major in the Air Force, and winds up in all these incredible adventures. Try reading one of the novels.
