Very nice. This and the fact that none of the recent artwork is availbale at Sony's German press site makes me think that we haven't seen the final theatrical poster, yet.

Yeah, only the US EPK site has the recent poster with white tux Bond and even that is still a generic "coming soon" variant.

I think they are probably releasing different generic variants online, seeing how people feed back, and then they choose what to use for the theatrical poster.

@antonvolk Your work proves how to make minimalist yet beautiful posters.

Wait a sec - those aren't mine, they're official :P

Or are you referring to the posters I did in the fan art thread?

I have to ask this because I'm from Portugal and don't quite get all the details and gossips about the actors and movies as you guys get.

What's the deal with the Robert Mugabe reference in the poll because of Craig's co-producing role? Was there any thins relating the two of them?

About the poster: I really dig the old/classy red flower (don't know the name) in a white dinner jacket. And the mask kinda takes back to LALD but also works with the obscure Spectre organization.

Cheers.

Any relation between Craig and Mugabe would be purely coincental.

They are? Wow, I thought they were fan made, I can't believe those beautiful posters were released by EON.

Now, I love that photo of Daniel Craig, he finally resembles his look from CR/QoS.

But those posters are atrocious, they look more like fan art than the blue ones did. Using the same photo of Léa Seydoux is a bit weird as well.

That should be someone from SPECTRE in the background, not Bond again!

By the way, what gun does Bond hold in the latest posters? It doesn't look like walther PPK to me.

I enjoy the newer alternative poster work and banners far more. The composition just looks more appropriate. As well, the photo of Craig that is used comes off as more natural.

Sam Smith name on there now, of course.

I prefer the blue one, myself, but they're nice.

I prefer the image of Craig with the white dinner jacket and suppressor, but the overall composition and use of colour is much more pleasing--so my vote goes for the second batch. And blimey does Seydoux look good in that dress.

The alternate theatrical poster still doesn't really work with the skull still directly in the background, but it's better than the original.

The white banner, however, works very well, even if they could have probably come up with a better image of Craig to use.

I wonder how it would have looked if the white tux was used with the leading lady

I think the white tuxedo makes for a stronger image.

I like the dark suit. Has a great cut. The lapels on the white tux were hard to ignore.

I'm curious. How do we know that it really is an alternate theatrical poster? 007.com simply called it "new SPECTRE artwork", not "poster".

They only say artwork because there were also the two banners in that post on 007.com.

In case anyone is wondering - Sony Germany are calling the white tux/skull poster the "hauptplakat" i.e. main poster.

I have an issue with recent Bond posters (QoS and SF being the very worst of all). They're uninspired. Plain. Boring.

Whatever happended to the real artwork in past posters?...

Time.  And fashion.

I'm quite certain the kind of posters we had would'nt work nowadays. But I do think that if they "revisited" the concept, it could really work.

For instance, why not try something like this:
