Since I saw Of Gods and Men, I've thought Lambert Wilson could be an interesting Bond villain. And regarding female villains, I've lately been thinking of Charlotte Rampling.

Lambert Wilson would be an interesting choice, hes kind of like Christoper Waltz isn't he but without the Oscars. I could see that.

I'd be all for it, I watched a few of his films and I think he is a great actor and could also be a physical threat to Bond.

Out of that list, well, it depends on the type of villain. "Father figure" opposing Bond - I'd go for Sir Ian McKellan. I always recall his performance in the US remake of "The Prisoner" - he was a rather creepy "Number 2".

Villain nearer Bond's age - Benedict Cumberbatch. i'm looking forward to seeing him in the new Trek film (Although his role in Trek, from what little I've gleaned from the trailers, seems similar to that of Javier Bardem in SF - renegade seeking revenge/justice on the powers that be. Perhaps when I've seen the film I'll be proved wrong.)

Although I'd like to see either of these two actors as a future Bond villain, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if the next one is someone we never thought of. Then again, with a top drawer cast in Skyfall, the pressure might be on to equal that in Bond 24.

There's one name I'd have added if he wasn't already otherwise engaged in the series - Ralph Fiennes. He might have made a good Bond villain if he wasn't Bond's boss now. Unless....... no, no, no, lets not even go there! ;)

I have the answer. And he will be brilliant. Just came to me as I was watching Borgias. Yes, Jeremy Irons. He has the acting chops, the gravitas, and he can play the villain with real class.

He'd make an excellent modern day Blofeld - understated villainy at its best.

Watch Borgias or Margin Call and you'll see what I mean.

McKellen is marked as X-Men Villain and Irons as a Die-Hard one. I prefer more 'surprising' choices. I would love to have a woman alone. I mean, not like TWINE where Sophie Marceau was allied to Robert Carlyle

Not impressed by that list. Would like to see Jonny Lee Miller in a Bond film, maybe as a villain. Although he probably would have been better in a role like Q.

Would Harrison Ford work as a villain? I'd see him better as an ally, but he's too old now (even though he has proven to be still great for action roles in Indy 4, whether you liked the movie or not, you can't deny he was awesome). I think he would have been a great Felix Leiter during Moore/Dalton era, being american and having been Jack Ryan.

I really dislike this idea, I don't know why but I can't picture him ever being in a Bond film.

I think if Val Kilmer is a Bond villain then he needs to get in better shape, the few pictures I have seen of him... ugh.

I never liked Tom Hiddleston as Loki but how about him? I noticed he has worked with Mendes before.

HAHA :) I use to think it would be cool if Kilmer and Michael Mann did a semi sequel to HEAT. Also bring back Al and Portman but its probably better to leave that classic untouched.

I heard he is really good in Bronson and its a good film but haven't seen it. I thought he was alright in TDKR. He would be a really interesting villain cause, has there been a villain that young before? What would his story be I wonder...

It would be interesting to have a villain that young again.  The only other one that we've had that was in the same age range as Hardy was Sean Bean, who was 36 when GoldenEye was released.

I'm not sure Hardy would be my first choice, if only because he's already recently played a villain in a major franchise.  But, if signing him up means that we could finally get a villain who is a physical match for Bond, then I wouldn't be opposed to it.

I see a lot of names here of actors who've had big villain roles in recent blockbusters. So I would discount all of them. it will either be a character actor who isn't very famous, or someone outside the box we havn't thought of at all.

He doesn't have the acting talent to be the main villain, but I think he would make a great henchman.

I think Peter Dinklage has been suggested before. He's also going to be the villain in X-MEN DAYS OF FUTURE PAST.

Daniel Radcliffe eyes James Bond villain role http://metro.co.uk/2013/06/19/daniel-radcliffe-eyes-james-bond-villain-role-3847285/

Daniel Radcliffe has revealed he doesn’t want to play James Bond – because he thinks he’d be better suited to a role as a villain.

The Harry Potter star, 23, told The Sun that he was keen to show his dark side for a change.

He said: ‘I am never going to be cast to play a Bruce Willis character in Die Hard.’

Radcliffe added: ‘I would make a much better villain than Bond – I am not nearly strapping enough to play Bond.’
