Bond working with another Double O agent in the PTS.
Expanding on that, another Double O featuring in the film and not turning out to be a traitor!

Oh yes, very good point.
Or even M threatening to replace 007 with 009 or 003 or someone.
Does 005 ever get a mention or is he just rubbish?

005 (Stuart Thomas) was head of Station G Greece in Colonel Sun after his 00 career... but I'll bet he was just one of the many in the briefing room in TB.

It is time we got to see 008. Heaven knows, M's been threatening to replace 007 with that agent for decades!
(And it would be a bit of a blow to Bond's male ego if 008 was a female agent!)
On an unrelated topic, I'll be interested to see what the title credits look like. My guess is a rather odd combination of alpine mountains and octopuses (Or octopi?)

It might be a bit too cold for that in Austria.

I really wanna see bond getting called from M through Moneypenny telling him about a new mission .. I feel that was at the end of Skyfall .. It could be the top secret mission ..

I just want to see a movie that builds off the last one; really like what I have seen and read so far. Already planning to see this one at a midnight showing!

Since this is SPECTRE, I'd like to see the following:
-The meeting room with #1 hidden behind tinted glass or something like that, speaking through some kind of voice changing device or software
-Somebody meeting their end by electrocution in their chair in the SPECTRE meeting room.
-#1 killing an incompetent underling by feeding them to his pet piranha.
-Someone other than Sam Smith or Adele performing the title song
-An end title song rather than an umpteenth rendition of the Bond theme playing over the credits.
-A scene in which Mr. Hinx beats Bond convincingly, perhaps even close to death.
-As little of Q and Moneypenny as possible.

Ok - In the vain of the previous Bond films, what we know of SPECTRE is from the books and previous films - why not see the early days of SPECTRE, becoming the organisation that controls everything evil in the world - they're not yet all powerful, but they're close - they take over Quantum - either buy killing the heads, using knowledge to blackmail them or other just as evil means - so that by the end of the film they are close to being the SPECTRE we know - in Bond 25 we get to see the boardroom SPECTRE that we know and love - Blofeld as a hidden entity .
Why is he hidden? If other members of SPECTRE don't know who he is, they can't dig up information to doublecross him, they can't use anything against him. All they see is an outline, a shadow - a specter. A voice that tells them what to do, and is all controlling.
This is what SPECTRE should be - a criminal terrorist organisation that is run by someone that even members of the organisation don't know about.

A spectral threat...like a phantom menace?
Actually I'd love to see this happen. Judging from SkyFall's last scene with the whole 'back to the old MI6', Mendes might do the 'back to the old SPECTRE' ending for this film.

Exactly - but without the Star Wars connotations

I'd like to see Bond at home doing routine things, maybe while waiting for orders (making coffee, shaving, what have you). In his own flat, and judging from the released on-set photos, it looks like we might actually see it this time.
Haven't seen Bond's personal home since LALD, and before that DN.

I actually had that scene in mind when I wrote it. I liked how we see Roger doing these little mundane things in LALD...Not that killing a snake is mundane, mind you!

I want to see a movie which is worth the wait. I want a movie which looks amazing, has a great cast and generally excites and entertains. Everything I've seen up to this point leads me to believe Mendes isn't sparing any expense in following up Skyfall.

I fully expect SPECTRE to be a great follow-up to Skyfall. Mendes has created a helluva cast and is easily the Bond series´most talented director. I can´t wait for October.

I'd like to see Bond have dinner with the Bond girl; a romantic scene which moves the plot forward in a leisurely way, a la Thunderball. In more general terms, I suppose I'd like the film to be a bit less business-minded. I feel we haven't had that since Casino Royale.

the gunbarrel at the start of the film, classic Bond, not 'Bond as a broken man' , Bond actually following orders and not being a 'rebel'
Bond and the villain not having a 'shared past'

Will this be the film we can a fully blown Bond theme during an action sequence. I think it's time for the Bond theme to become more prominent in terms of action sequences and such. It's all well and good hearing it throughout the film, it sets the mood, but once we get to action sequences there's just none of that Bond flair. Skyfall had it, albeit a bit too reserved. The closest we had was Silvas capture but they didn't exactly use the wrong part, and it's definitely a step in the right direction, but seeing Bond do something that's truly magnificent and jaw dropping, accompanied by a full blown Bond theme would be magical. It's been a long, long time since we've had that.

Yes it's funny because some people criticised David Arnold for using it all the time on the Brosnan Bonds and now we've gone the other way. I think I heard Thomas Newman say that he is a big fan of the Bond theme and so you might get what you want in SPECTRE.

The way that they're currently using the Bond theme is the way to go. Having it blaring during every "cool" action sequence or during every "Bondian" moment in the film, as it often was during he Brosnan era and at times before, sometimes feels like they're bordering on self-parody.
