See it in IMAX, or else you'll be disappointed.

I'm still on the fence about seeing Interstellar. While I'm excited at the prospect of a visually stunning Christopher Nolan-helmed space film, the friends I've spoken too who have seen it were not impressed at all... slightly disheartening. I may take their advice and see it just for the visuals and sound, not the performances which were their biggest gripes against it. I'll probably wait a few weeks for the hype to die down and go in with an open mind.

The first DC-related casting news I'm genuinely excited about:

"Wolf of Wall Street" Star Margot Robbie Joins 2016's SUICIDE SQUAD As Joker's Girlfriend Harley Quinn

It's more than just visuals and sound, it's one of the best science fiction films to come around in YEARS, and the most ambitious science fiction in recent memory as well. The story is actually well done, and the acting is top notch, specifically McConaughey, Hathaway, Chastain, and Damon.

I enjoyed her in Wolf Of Wall Street. However, I can't get behind the idea of cramming The Joker in Suicide Squad. He was never in the original Suicide Squad, so I'm puzzled as to why. Though I'm interested in Jared Leto in the role, should it come to fruition.

Joker doesn't necessarily have to appear. They might be deviating from the established facts and introducing Harley in the Squad before she ever meets Mr. J.

http://insidemovies....lar-plot-holes/

Interesting Christopher Nolan article. He says something really intelligent about the so called plot holes in his films.

“My films are always held to a weirdly high standard for those issues that isn’t applied to everybody else’s films—which I’m fine with. People are always accusing my films of having plot holes, and I’m very aware of the plot holes in my films and very aware of when people spot them, but they generally don’t.”

Also he touches on whether or not he would like to direct a Bond film.

They want Joker to appear in the actual squad of Suicide Squad... It's just WB/DC's quick way of introducing Joker and Harley for Justice League or the solo Batman film.

You got to remember this is an older batman meaning his rouge galley of villain are likely in prison or free somewhere so Joker coming in is not a rush......they could use solo batman film as a prequel if they want

I'm sure you will. IMO, if a film absolutely needs to be seen on IMAX to ensure enjoyment, then it's most likely a case of style over substance. If the film has a good story, then the story will be just as good on an IMAX as it is on a regular cinema screen.

For a film of this caliber and this much ambition and for having such a large scope, it's nowhere near "style over substance" tdalton (not that it matters to you).

The film just happens to shine brightest through IMAX technology and the sound is outstanding.

Of the few films (and I mean few) I've seen him outside of Marvel, I think he's a pretty good actor, and I don't think he'll be bad in Blackhat, especially since it's Michael Mann after all. I'm not the biggest fan of the Thor films, but I do think he's great as the character, and I need to finish watching Rush as well.

It's a shame Universal's not pushing this out for a limited release next month for consideration at the awards. I'm quite looking forward to it, as it'll be interesting to see how Mann tackles cyber-terrorism.

Michael Mann's movies always have great cinematography.

I find all of his films to be gorgeous. Especially Thief and Heat. What am I saying, hell, all of them!

Heat is one of the best movies I've ever seen, with one of the greatest shootout scenes ever put on film.  Can't recommend it highly enough.

What tdalton said. Best modern crime film I've ever seen. And best heist scene to ever grace a movie screen.
