To be fair I didn't mind the original gun/tunnel-barrel tease poster for SkyFall, I rather liked it. This EON poster is fun, a real throwback to Dr No. I suppose we should count our blessings that we didn't get a poster by the same bunch who designed the proposed 007 Legends cover.

I think it's hard to say that all Skyfall posters so far haven't been clear and concise. There's not much else to them other than a picture of James Bond and a big '007' logo: I don't know how they could be more clear or concise

I was basing it on composition of the latest Gun-barrel poster. It's dull, arkward and sorely lacking in any glamour/exotic stakes.

I don't think that has anything to do with clarity or conciseness.

Well, actually it has: it's TOO clear and TOO concise... ;)

Maybe, but that's kind of the exact opposite of what Satorios was saying it was!

Can we at least agree on why it's bad? ;)

It's bad on so many levels, I wouldn't even know where to start!
(just kidding, of course. Or, am I?)

A quad version here along the lines of the US 1 sheet with credits.

Have yet to see either of them in print.

It does work better as a quad. Cinemas have that one outside them; my local Odeon does. I think Waterloo does too.

Oh really? (To, cinemas already having them)

Surprised then they are not up on ebay as yet.

Do you reckon this is the main quad? The only thing as yet to be mentioned is of course the song writer / performer. Not sure if they'd just release an updated version of this with the relevant text.

I agree the "character" posters are very clear and concise - even to the point of being sparce - but I don't really mind that at all.The gunbarrel poster is a complete arkward photoshop hodge-podge montage mess and most criminally of all - it is incredibly dull (it doesn't convey any exotic glamour or excitment - which I believe Bond should!)

Are we all talking about the same gunbarrel poster?

Isn't it interesting how opinions can vary.

Currently talking about the white lying down version. Albeit trying to ascertain whether the version with credits exists in paper.

Mark, can you confirm your local cinema has the credited version.

Otherwise, there do seem to be some official designs floating about that have yet to make it into print. Such as;

All the character 1 sheets excepting Bond.
The Tunnel / London / Gunbarrel quad and 1 sheet.
The Lying Down version With credits quad and 1 sheet.

Which makes seven posters that are meant to be official, but have yet to hit ebay or cinemas... and still rumours abounding that some other version is supposed to yet be released.

We can still expect another poster right? These aren't just rumors are they or they would have said, 'this is the finale poster for skyfall' right?
I hope we can expect to get it on Global Bond Day along with the theme song. Hope I'm not getting to greedy.

Are we still getting this last poster then? It seems a bit late in the day now. They've put the other ones on buses.

Ok so very "basic" and "black and white" seems to be the prevalent/permanent theme. Or in another words: Bond. Period.

Well, I would consider myself lucky if I saw that in Paris. All we have right now is the simple poster Bond/Gunbarrel scarcely displayed on a few poster-pillars here and there.

I like the idea of a poster with Bond facing away from the camera, but that particular pose is awkward, even a bit dopey. Except for the facial expression, he looks like some regular shmuck being surprised by a wedding photographer. I'd prefer something based on this image:

In the weeks when I was actually expecting a final poster to emerge, I was hoping for Bond with a backdrop either based on the Westminster skyline or the Skyfall Lodge. Sadly it seems that's passed now. Maybe we'll get something for the DVD artwork. (Clutching at straws.)

By the way, there are plenty of posters still coming up. Including the final one sheet.

Do we actually know this?

Yes.

Still got my fingers crossed. But are we still certain about this?

At this point, it looks like we've gotten all we're going to get. And that's ridiculous. None of these images qualifies as a movie poster, and the worst of them all - the Tintin prom night special - seems to be the one they're using most. I've moved on from hoping for a final poster to hoping that perhaps some negative feedback will reach the poobahs and persuade them to invest more time and effort in the Bond 24 posters. Considering how much these films cost and how much they earn, there's no excuse to be so cheap and perfunctory about the poster. Hell, if posters are so unimportant, why have them at all?
