There are SO many superb entries already listed above, so I'll mention one that comes to mind quickly for this list, though it is not the very top moment, but a great one.  Like many, I very much like TB for several reasons:  great settings, glamor, BIG plot but still not too much so, Bond at the height of popularity when it came out, Connery as cool as ever, wonderful lady characters -- good and bad, excellent use of Blofeld, a very cool villain with a great henchman ("What DO you like, Mr. Vargas ?" touching his face and Vargas turns away -- a very odd exchange in front of the villain's lover and a stranger !), the water.

Another factor -- the music.  Stupendously terrific John Barry music in this one.  Not just the wild, bombastic theme, but the lovely symphonic version played in the moment I am adding to the list of great moments:

When Bond arrives for the evening dinner and dance, by a very sharp boat, in a white tux, with a perfect tan (which looks great with that white tux), and dances with the beautiful and alluring Miss France 1960 portraying Domino.  It's very very very cool and romantic all at once.  Very Bondian.  It's not ONLY the Bang Bang action with 007, of course, it's the KISS KISS, too...

"I think he got the point." Bond- Thunderball

"Anya, in our business people get killed. We both know that, so did he. The answer is yes, I killed him." Bond-  The Spy Who Loved Me"

"You join us at an auspicious moment, Mr Bond, precipitated by your country's one undisputable contribution to western civilization, afternoon tea." Hugo Drax- Moonraker

Bond dropping the bomb from the plane on to the bridge to blow it up to halt the advance of the Soviet forces in the climax of The Living Daylights.

"Intuitive improvisation is the secret of genius." Max Zorin- A View To A Kill

Bond kicking Locque's precariously hanging car off the cliff to finish him off in For Your Eyes Only.

Bond: "It's not the sort of thing a gentleman tells." Dr Kananga: "Well, having set the precedent I don't expect Miss Solitaire to be any less the lady." - Live And Let Die

"Oh spare me the Freud, James, I might as well ask you if all those vodka martinis drown out the screams of all the men you've killed." Alec Trevelyan/Janus - Goldeneye

In GE when Alex knocks Bond down the ladder under the satellite and he rolls and catches himself and slams into the ladder. I would rewind that part over and over again on VHS.

So many brilliant moments, but I'll keep it short, one for each Bond, these are the moments are remember the best:

1.Connery - fight with Grant on the train, particularly before it happens when he's kneeling and held at gunpoint, thinking about how the hell he's going to get out of this

2.Lazenby - the last few lines in his only movie

3.Moore - his foot race after Locque (driving), shooting him, then kicking him off the cliff

4.Dalton - since I favor him the most I have to pick two moments. number one - "watch the birdie, you bastard".  For the second, some think this is for lack of a better word "dumb", but I choose one simple line that probably most don't even remember.  I pick this because it sums up why I prefer Dalton.  He can be frightening, deadly, and he has to be.  Fleming created a character that can kill in cold blood.  Dalton knew this.  So anyway, here it is.  He sneaks into Lupe's room on Crest's boat.  He covers he mouth so she doesn't scream.  He says, "make a sound..........and you're dead."

5.Brosnan - his fight with Trevylan, i think this showed Brosnan at his grittiest

6.Craig - the opening of casino royale, "considerably"

these lists everyone are making are great but toooo long!! Pick the very best ( i know its hard) and say why, I love to read all the fans' take on their favorite Bond moments

Anybody like these?

DN: "Fetch my shoes."

FRWL: Bond slaps Tanya.

GF: Bond cures Pussy with a forced roll in the hay.

GF: The Fort Knox soldiers falling down when gassed.

TB: Bond blackmailing Patricia into coitus so she can keep her job.

TB: Accelerated Disco Volante during the climax.

OHMSS: The African woman eating a phallic-shaped banana during the "Meet Hilary Bray" dinner scene, then rolling her eyes orgasmically.

OHMSS: Blofeld's chicken speech.

DAF: Tiffany Case falling off the oil rig when firing a machine gun in DAF.

DAF: Blofeld in drag.

LALD: Mr. Big blowing up.

TMWTGG: The school girls know karate.

TMWTGG: The car stunt slide whistle.

MR: Double-taking pigeon.

FYEO: "I'll buy you a delicatessen...in stainless steel!"

FYEO: Bond offers to buy Bibi and ice cream.

OCT: The Benny Hill boob zoom.

NSNA: Mr. Bean channeling Quasimodo.

NSNA: Tango.

NSNA: The horse hitting the water.

AVTAK: The Moore-MacNee geriatric tag-team fight scene below the stables with some bearded fat guy who sounds like he has asthma. Rog's tracky bottoms and Patrick Macnee in black leather... wrong in so many ways.

AVTAK: "James, James!"

TLD: "Back end of horse!"

LTK: The slow motion shot of the running DEA men cutting to that lame shot of Sanchez's men limply putting their hands up.

LTK: "But I love James so much!"

GE: The freefall rear projection.

TWINE: Q's Hamburg scene.

DAD: CGI icebergs.

No? What, we have no real Bond fans here?

Actually,

"GF: The Fort Knox soldiers falling down when gassed."

this one makes sense because it is revealed later that they are faking it.

And for AVTAK I would have gone with Stacy failing to outrun a blimp which she can't hear 10 meters behind her!

All of these... lol I love that in LTK the lame slow motion, I always roll my eyes at that part of the movie. The CGI icebergs just make me laugh a lot because it's totally not Bond.

13. Bond prepares to kill himself and Camille - Quantum of Solace

Along with the windsurfing scene in Die Another Day, this is the worst James Bond moment for me. Our hero isn't expected to kill himself!

I think my favorite passage of play in any Bond film might be Bond's journey from Kingston Airport to Government House in DR. NO: First instinctively using his hat to avoid having his photo taken. Then telephoning Government House to confirm that the awaiting Mr Jones and his car weren't sent by them. Then, the certainty that getting into a car with the opposition will makes him only "a few minutes late". Then, shaking off the tailing car. Then, the punch up with the sweaty, nervous Mr. Jones and the chauffers death. Then finally, arriving at Government house driving the car with the dead Mr. Jones in back, and casually asking the officer at the door to "make sure he doesn't get away". Awesome.

There are very much moments I like, but these are my absolute favourites.

Licence to Kill: The 'Licence Revoked' and 'Personal Vendetta' dialogue with M

The Living Daylights: Interrogation of Pushkin.

Nope. I love that moment. Very stylish start to one of the great sequences.

My favorite "Bond moments" by film:
A View to a Kill: Nailing May Day

This is a bit of a different take on the best moment of all time but... the moment in Skyfall where Bond is running down Whitehall whilst M reads the poem... The music really helps make it too, obviously, but that moment is dramatic, so heroic and quite lovely.

Well, I reserve the right to add a few more, but right now three "end scenes" spring to mind;

OHMSS - "We have all the time in the world" - you all know what I mean by that scene, I'll say no more.

Casino Royale 2006 - Bond catches up with Mr White at Lake Como. CR could have ended like OHMSS above, but instead 007 exacts a revenge of sorts for the death of Vesper Lynd. The build up after White is shot, culminating in that line and the Bond theme over the end credits.

Skyfall - we should have seen it a mile off, but in one sitting I heard someone in the audience say "of course, she's Miss Moneypenny!" when Eve "formally" introduces herself. Then the old style office, Tanner's "he'll see you know" - it was also obvious who the new M was as well.

Agreed. A perfectly executed scene. Fairly sure I had goosebumps of sorts when I first saw that in the cinema.
