The plot about M sounds a bit TWINE-ish.
And the film's being shot in Istanbul..and Berenice Marlohe looks a lot like Elektra King

"As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat"
This sounds great. Alludes to some spy-work and I would love for MI6 to be the actual target and Bond saving them.

Interesting how so many of the rumors we have heard over the last few months have turned out to be correct.

I think Judi Dench's M is now in her final film in a story that could shock as well as deliver the suspense and twists like 'Casino Royale'. Albert Finney is drafted in as the new M for Daniel Craig, be it for just this film until the MOD appoint a new Head, or simply like Bernard Lee did, appear for a few minutes of the films and then be done.

I doubt Finney will be the new M. He is only 2 years younger than Dench so i don't think they plan to use him for several films.

Seeing as now we're looking at "M's past"...is Helen McCrory playing a younger M in flashbacks? I'm looking at photos of her now and I see a definite resemblance to Judi.

Interesting. Just read this on Digital Spy. Very reliable source.
"Skyfall will see Bond at loggerheads with his boss M (Judi Dench) as a figure from her past emerges."
Now, to me, this sounds like someone emerges, not something. Someone from her past? Fiennes? Finney?

Well certainly age-wise, Finney would fit that bill. I don't see how Fiennes could play a present day figure from her past, unless she used to babysit him.

I see plenty of questions.Blofeld. No question.

"If you're a Bond fan," [Ralph] Fiennes told me when I confessed my 007 obsession, "then you'll be happy. I can tell you that John Logan has written a fantastic screenplay and [director] Sam Mendes is a class act. They're doing something quite special I think. I think they're going to be great for Bond."

“…this (Skyfall) is just a great piece of screenwriting and the human drama at the centre of this is quite affecting. And it's full of amazing stunts and action sequences."

Will he get to join in on the stunts and action sequences? Fiennes took a long pause. "I can't answer that question," he said. "I don't get laid, that's for sure." That might be a clue, or it might not be.

In light of the fact that Fiennes is an avowed fan of the Bond novels, one of his comments is very interesting:

Now, if you're only familiar with the cinematic Blofeld, that won't ring any bells. But a literary fan will recall the fifth chapter of Thunderball, where it says about Blofeld, "He didn't smoke or drink and he had never been known to sleep with a member of either sex." I still have my doubts, but that comment really makes me wonder. Could Fiennes be signalling to Fleming fans that the rumor is true?

When was the last time a Bond villain had sex on-screen? Elektra did, but only because she needed to be close to Bond.I still have my doubts, but that comment really makes me wonder. Could Fiennes be signalling to Fleming fans that the rumor is true?
