I have been going though old rumours and by this time there was a thread "which is your favourite rumoured title" Ironically QOS was on that list. I'm just curious as to why aren't there more or really any title rumours.

I don't think there have been reports of any story conferences yet, so it's probably too early for title rumors. Of course, the practicalities of film production seldom impact the rumor mill, do they? Even though there's no script, we've already had "reports" of two Bond-girl candidates ready to fill a role that doesn't yet exist (Jennifer Aniston and that other actress). So I guess anything could happen at any time, and it'll all add up to the usual nothing until they actually announce the title (or possibly a few days before--I think news of the title has occasionally trickled out a few days ahead of time, but never more than that, has it?).

I'm sure reports of the title being "Aquator" or "Pressure Point" should pop up any time now.

I was Shocked the Sun didn't run with "bond 23 is the hildebrand rarity" they had a perfect quote from Michale G Wilson to misrepresent that rumour kind writes itself. Also i would figure Risico would be high on most peoples wish list.

I do belive bond 23 has an outline maybe even a first draft. halfway completed. I'm unsure of when we will get announcments but i am looking foward to it.

Seriously the sun is lacking in their usual BS department.

I doubt we'll have any substantial rumours (is that an oxy-moron?) until summer.

Besides, Eon has made both CR and QoS big events out of announcing the title.

With Pierce and GE, it was a big to do because the series was being relaunched and he was being presented as Bond. TND and TWINE were both more press releases until DAD (being the BIG anniversary and 20th - official - pic). Safe can be said of CR and bringing in a reboot and introducing Bond #6.

Will it be a Fleming title or something with the word "Die" or "Kill" in it? Who knows?

Wait and see kids, but the Eon machine is certainly working.

Has it even been confirmed that BOND 23 will be released next year? If it's a 2011 affair, then even the baseless rumours are a long way off.

Indeed my friend.

If we can get back to the two-year cycle, it *could* work. It seems like they are gearing up for that though.

So, do we get "Riscio" one of the Gardner's (ain't likely) or "Die Another Way To Kill With A Licence To Do So". B)

EDIT: Frankly, I'd like a one word title.

it has niether been confirmed nor denied but Many feel the window for bond 23 is November 2010-may 2011 and it will be released in that time frame (note for those wanting a 2012 fair a may 2011 reklease doesnot discount a december 2012 release for bond 24)

that said we already have gotte nrumours on a semi weekly basis starting with 3 weeks ago Jennifer aniston as a bond girl then boyle then that other girl. So there might be an announcment soon with more rumours to follow.

Well, we didn't officially learn the title of Bond 22 until January/February of 2008. So it might be a little early.

Also, as a side note, maybe they're trying to lay low after people didn't understand Quantum of Solace...just a hunch.

Agreed. Here's hoping it's "Risico" or "Property of a Lady." B)

I think that it will be a Fleming title as well, but not necessarily one of the short story titles. While it may be a short story title, I think that it's equally possible that we could see them pull a title from somewhere else in Fleming's writings, perhaps a phrase within one of the Bond novels or they could use a chapter title. But I do agree that it will be from Fleming in one form or another.

Agrreed T dalton While I welcome Risico The property of a lady or the remarkably less popular The hildebrand rarity Part of my is screaming "CHAPTER TITLE" which of course if bond 23 is say A whipser of love a whisper of hate or Valley of Shaddows etc Eould be interesting to see if fans will start plowing though their bond novals to write out what chapter titles they love and which they don't.

I mean i will say it's to early to tell definitly (however before captain tightpants gets wind of this Coming up wtih reasons for this title or that title is acceptable but saying outright "bond 23 will be ....." well do it at your own risk)

I just see a trend toward fleming in mroe then just inspiration in feel and titles as well which is always a good thing.

Well i'm not surprised that we haven't heard any rumours, well we have had the typical B), I'm more surprised by the lack of official news. You'd think EON would have a release date by now, or at least word if Purvis and Wade were attached. It all seems rather late to hear anything, worringly late, I'd guess Bond won't be back till Nov 2011.

then why start working on bond 23 now? it makes no sense. though perhaps they are keeping things quiet because they have a an idea not only story wise but title wise etc and if they release one then the rest will get leaked.

Agreed. The way things are moving along now, that rumored 2011 release date and the 3 year gap that Michael Wilson hinted at a while back appear to be a strong possibility. As long as the movie is good, it doesn't really matter to me how long they take to make it. If longer gaps are what is necessary to keep Daniel Craig around for more films, or if the producers need more time in between features, then that's fine. I think that after the last two films they've certainly earned a break if they want one.

I agree Tdalton if 3 years gaps is what it takes for craig to do 6-7 Bond films then yes i'm all for that.

If there are three year gaps, I can't see Craig doing anywhere near 6-7 movies to be honest. He'd be almost 60 years old by then. I'd like Craig to go out at the top, even if that means he only does 3-4 movies.

Early days yet. Whether the film arrives in 2010 or 2011, there's plenty of time left for baseless title rumours.

I feel the same way. I’d rather Craig put down a tight bunch of quality films and exit the series on top. Moore has done the most official Bond films, but a good number of them are questioned by the Bond community. The age window of opportunity doesn’t last that long. You can see the difference in Brosnan from the TND-TWINE gap onwards.

Never Say Never Too Soon.

I'm actually glad there are no such rumors. Because that's all they are. There's still a long way ahead in the process of preparing for the movie and usually the title doesn't come up too early.

Yes, but you're assuming BOND 23 has the same prodution schedule as QUANTUM OF SOLACE, when we know they mght be taking an extra year to gather their thoughts and get some rest.

And you're assuming that rumours are based on some kind of logic. Most are complete fabrications so it doesn't matter where they come in the production.
I'm surprised we haven't been told who's 'signed' to sing the title song yet.

3 year gaps won't get the best out of Craig. Craig maybe the most physically fit of all the Bonds but he's hardly a baby face. I think within the next 6 years, Craig may start to really show his age and with the producers wanting to keep him as long as possible, they need to actually use him as much as possible. QoS suffered from the writers strike, but the good thing is, the Bond movies have more than enough source material to adapt and use as inspiration to tell many a great story.

Look all they said was that in Jan 2009 was that they were to meet up and talk where they had to go from here. What does Bond do? Does he tackle Yusef and get more information about Vesper and complete the supposed triolgy, or has Bond got his closure, is he over Vesper. Where is it best to go from here from a character perspectives. I guess the prods have got some writters together, they've sat around a table and disscussed ideas, and maybe a first draft is being writtern. But who knows, no ones saying nothing.

And Craig doesn't have a film out this year to get asked Bond 23 questions, we haven't heard from P&W and probs won't. The producers only speak at official junkets. So.................we just have to wait till Vareity or THR come to us with anything.
