Bond 23...

I really think we need to go to a cold climate for Daniels third outing. Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace have been pretty hot: Bahamas/Italy/Bolivia. I would welcome the return of Switzerland with open arms. I would love Bond to visit the Alps aswell.
Just use your imagination.....
A action packed Ski Chase over looked by a brilliant helicopter shot.
Bond should go cold for Bond 23!
thoughts?

ANOTHER SKI CHASE ,Wow just what the critics and fans would really love another ski chase how original...lol THE LAST THING ANYONE WOULD WANT TO SEE IN BOND FILM WOULD BE ANOTHER SKI CHASE PERHAPS IN BOND 30 IF BOND EVEN LASTS THAT LONG.

It shouldn't be a problem if done right.
The last great Ski Chase was in The Spy Who Loved Me, and, I'm confident that Craig era would be able to live up to that, and dare I say, have a Ski chase better than On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

One thing you all are forgetting if you claim to know Daniel Craig is that in an interview some years ago ,He claimed he hates the cold and can't ski.
He also couldn't drive or ride in a boat before he became James Bond, and looked at how that turned out...I don't see a problem there

He claimed he hates the cold and can't ski.
WOW! Well that makes all of the difference. So I guess he loves jumping off buildings and cranes, crawling through fire and jumping over car bonnets then.

I do maintain I love the "ski" chase in the living daylight for both it's ingenuity and it's slight over the topness.
I would like a ski chase in a craig bond film but i'd like a mixture of climates.

In defense of 'cold' for his past two films, don't forget Montenegro, Austria and Russia. Oh and London of course. I hear it's 11 months of cold there.

Just wondering if anyone else thinks that Bond 23 should be set in a hot or cold climate?
As long as they can find a reason for Bond going shirtless (bare minimum) or better, it's fine!
Well, seriously, I'm not that much into mountains ans ski. But acknowledge that it's part of Bond's universe, and it can provide some interesting action. I wouldn't welcome a ski chase, though, because 1) it's been done to death and 2) it would be only a stuntmen job, since Craig can't ski, apparently (and you can't get the mandatory skills for a ski stunt in some months of training). No, the cold settings would have to be used in a more creative way.
Mrs Jim has expressed a desire to see the next one set in a sauna, or on a beach. For about four hours. I dread to think what she means. Admittedly, it's not much of a plot.
I definitely second Mrs Jim's views! And as for a Bond set in a sauna, I disagree that it's not much of a plot. Look what Eastern promises made of the sauna scene

Yes, either a cold climate, or Asian locations.
Surely it's time Bond went back to Japan?
That's what I'm wanting to see, and it can include both - Bond can travel through the neon streets of Tokyo, then ski Mount Fuji.

Next time Empire or some other mag does a "50 best movie fights" or some similar space filler - that scene from Eastern Promises has to be in the top ten. I wouldnt mind if they ripped that off.
Which has got me thinking: what would David Cronenberg do with a Bond film*? Be worth seeing. A mix of Casino Royale (2006) and Casino Royale (1967) with extra throat slitting.
*This is not a serious suggestion.

You may not have been serious, but I like the idea.
Cronenberg's next movie is a Robert Ludlum adaptation.

An inventive, fresh approach to mountain/snow/ice based action would be even more welcome. In my wildest dreams this would involve substantial filming in the arctic or antartica.

Well it seems obvious for starters We haven't seen 007 in a big city type of location for a while
We haven't seen bond in a cold location in a while.
I just think if you have all 3 you can have a wide diversity of locations and it would be cool.
Plus I want a witner chase a good one!

Craig Denies Bond Sequel
8 December 2008 8:06 AM, PST | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news
James Bond star Daniel Craig has denied the next 007 will be a sequel to Quantum Of Solace.
The latest superspy picture - which followed on from Craig's debut in 2006's Casino Royale - has been a major international hit, scoring high in box office charts the world over.
But Craig is adamant that his third outing as the secret agent will feature a brand new storyline.
He tells Collider, "No ing way. I'm done with that story. I want to lie on a beach for the first half an hour of the next movie drinking a cocktail.
"We've finished this story as far as I'm concerned. We've got a great set of bad guys. There is an organisation that we can use whenever we want to. The relationship between Bond and M is secure and Felix is secure. Let's try and find where Moneypenny came from and where Q comes from. Let's do all that and have some fun with it."
But Craig admits there is currently no filming schedule in place for the next Bond movie.
He adds, "Nobody's thinking about it at the moment. We're giving it a rest for the moment. If I can squeeze something in next year I will... but I haven't figured out what that'll be yet. But nothing in the cold."
