Signed and limited edition of Charlie Higson's fourth Young Bond novel

Hatchards offering signed and slipcased hardcover for just 10 pounds

Here's some news we've been waiting for: Hurricane Gold Collectors Edition in October

Because HG was released in hardcover, I was worried they weren't going to continue with these and complete the set. But it looks like they are. No pic available yet.

I hugely regret not buying these from the start - and they're so damned expensive now.

You can still get Double or Die from Hatchards for cover price. They have a shelf full of them.

Really? I remember seeing a copy of the Blood Fever hardback in a Waterstone's in London a while back, but I have no doubt someone snapped it up soon after.

How much do the SilverFin and Blood Fever collectors editions go for on eBay nowadays?

I haven't been paying attention to what they're selling for on eBay. Maybe Qwerty has?

Hatchards may have had a SilverFin as well. I know remember. But I know they didn't have Blood Fever. I have a high number and the corner is a little bumped, so I've been looking for an upgrade.

Interesting - thanks, zen. It's food for thought! (The idea that I can pick up Double or Die and Hurricane Gold - half(!) of the Young Bond series - is a promising start!)

My guess is it will sell for £25 like the others. I'll have more details (and hopefully a pic) in time.

Haven't really paid too much attention either. I was lucky enough to have grabbed them when they first came out (and plan to do the same with this one).

Can't imagine the Blood Fever and Double or Die ones would be too pricey on auction sites like that.

I'm pleased, of course, because last year's hardback didn't look too good on the shelf next to its three slipcased predecessors.

But then, last year's book will always remain the true UK First Edition :(

I'd be interested to hear people’s opinion on which limited edition they believe will become more collectable

the 1/1500 Hardback released with first edition - larger print run, however true 1st signed limited edition of HG.

or new 1/999 Ltd edition released later in the year, with slip case and shrink wrapped.

I'm of the opinion that the 1st 1/1500 limited edition will be more collectable in the future,

Obviously, I will end up buying the slip cased ltd edition to ensure that I have a full set of shrink wrapped limited edition!

I share your opinion that it will be the 1500 because that is the first edition. But the Limited will be a beauty.

I actually hope not. I love that cover illustration and the gold takes away from it. I'm kinda hoping it will be yellow like the large print.

Still waiting for that large print edition to arrive in the mail so I can get a better look at the cover, but I think I like the sound of that better than a gold overload.

So both the Waterstones and Hatchards websites are saying this is available now. I'm trying to confirm with Puffin, but those in the UK might want to head to a Waterstones (or Hatchards) and see if they can get a copy now. And please let me know.

Ah, it looks like Hatchards charged me yesterday. As they don't change until they ship, yeah, I'd say this baby is out! :(

Maybe. But it could just be they just don't have them on the shelves yet.

Hatchards charged me for the Roger Moore Limited on the 1st and I still don't have it. Hope they didn't send via surface mail. :(

Same here. We'll have to keep each other updated.

This has been such a crippling year financially for literary 007 collectors. :(
