'Send him in now,' came M's sharp voice from the loudspeaker, and the red light of privacy went on above the red leather padded door...

Sounds pretty good. Sharpshooter would sound better than troubleshooter, though.
Now why the heck didn't I think of that myself! Damn! S H A R P S H O O T E R. Sounds good

Anyway, I really do hope you all enjoy the first part as much as I enjoyed writing it. I tried hard making it an edge of the seat experience in the grand tradition. In fact, I went about the whole affair as if I was making love to a woman believe it or not (Foreplay is the most important feature in the art of loving. One should never rush, One should simply enjoy and delay as much as one can till that wonderful, explosive climax!).
Anyway, before I bore you to death and without letting the proverbial cat out of the bag, let me assure you that PART 1 is only an appetizer of things more exciting to come and I give you my word of words that PART 2 is indeed full of thrills you can chew on....

Far too many Gin and Tonics mixed with too much Moet.
Work hard, play hard (which is exactly what I ended up doing when I got back home at four in the morning; with a delightful Italian brunette with the body of a Goddess, no less.... )
This is getting out of hand I'm reading too many Bond novels at one go!
Anyway, thanks for the thumbs up ImTheMoneypenny. Much appreciated
Back to TROUBLESHOOTER: Well, gentle readers I had to take the direction I took with Part One due to the fact that, although I had explained at the end of NCD what had happened and why the United Kingdom was facing one of its worst nightmares come true, I felt that in order to create a sub plot (

I'm sure most will agree that it is rather quite a longSpoilerbut I feel safe enough to say that althoughSpoilerit does succeed in forcing you to turn the page and continue reading (Well at least I hope it does anyway).
As for Part Two, I decided to call itSpoilerbecause I am now free to revolve the whole story around our hero. This means that I am going to literally 'celebrate' Fleming's suave superspy in the true sense of the word.

Sounds like another ride. I better buckle my seat belt! I enjoyed the prologue, I didn't feel it was too long, set the stage nicely for what may come. You produce a great tone that makes us care about the characters so you feel for them.
You've made me very curious about part 2!!!

Just finished part one! I hadn't realised this was, in a way, a sequel to your previous Bond novel, Nobody Cheats Death! I like it, continuity in fanfic I mean: it's nice to see the characters being developped over more than one story!
I quite enjoyed what I've read so far! The
By the way, I'm curious about the name Sean d'Arcy: is it a nod to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice?

Pride and Prejudice?? Never heard of it!! I'm a man, hmm! I don't read those type of girlie novels! Sacrilege!
Darcy and Elizabeth, Jane and Bingley. Jane Austen. No! I read men's books!

Oh? Men read books, really? That's new to me! Surely one of these new metrosexual trends...

I caught that too, thought it was a nice touch. Didn't think about that angle, now I see it. My sister is an Olivier fan so I've seen that film version a million times.

'This book will surely be one of the most extraordinary Bond 'fan fiction' adventures of our time - It is riveting to say the least. It is full of tension, excitement and thrills you can actually chew on. The man who calls himself Harry Fawkes has come up with a Bond 'novel' that is as good as any top bestseller out there. I know, I've read the first draft of PART TWO and couldn't put it down! Gadgets, sexy girls, violence that'll make your skin crawl and one of the best villains since Ian Fleming's Goldfinger.'
