Calm down everyone...

I just figured I'd kick off this thread here and now.

No details, no dates, no plan...

NO PROBLEM!

Actually, that's not entirely true and we will be updating the DTBB site in time, but it's a go for sure and will probably be happening in July/August in Vegas next year and celebrating the 45th anniversary of FRWL.

The fee's may be a bit higher, but that's to be expected and it will also depend on logistics, events, numbers and certain "optional extras", but "Axworthy's 13" are on it and already planning.

So, for those that have and those that have not, start planning ahead, press your tuxes or gowns and get some sleep in advance and be ready for another "Dare".

Also, hopefully by November before the holidays get on top of everyone, we *might* at least have cost and registration ready to go.

I'm already planning a return trip and been on the phones making new contacts and also making sure that all the people in Vegas have been appropriately thanked and rewarded for all they did for us.

"Who are you people?"

Bryce: "Fans...BOND fans."

About time! :cooltongue:

It has only been one week since DTBB2 and I'm already looking forward to next year.

I am so looking forward to this, even though there is a chance I won't be able to make it this year (with a wee one on the way, there are circumstances beyond my control at work here). I have greatly enjoyed the first two such events and strongly encourage everyone and anyone with a Bondian flair to attend!

After hearing Double-0-7 and Professor Dent tell their tales from DTBB2 in person, I will have to redouble my efforts to make attending DTBB3 a possibility.

I did a quick double-take when I saw the thread already. Never hurts to get the buzz going early! I think Double-O-7 & I did a good job convincing MarcAnge that he needs to attend next year. :cooltongue:

I'll be sad to miss you all next year but unless there's another miracle like there was for this years DTBB I'll have to be saving up all my mu$$a for the "special" Europe trip I'll be making late next year. But I guess... never say never, right?

We can't be without our official photographer. I surely hope you can add a little extra savings in the bucket for DTBB3.

I know! What will you guys do without an "official" photographer?!?!! Guess we'll just have to start the "Get Athena to DTBB3" fund. HAHAHA! :cooltongue:

Can we start one for Kilroy too?

I'm already anticipating not attending. Even with a year to save up, I don't know that I could afford to go. On the (very) off chance that I could go, one question: just how important is formal wear? I know there were some formal events, but I don't have any formal wear, and my finances would be stretched enough without having to buy a tux.

While formal attire is required at times, it is not required for you to go out and buy an outfit. Not everyones budget stretches as far as they'd like it to. The Mens Wearhouse has a great selection and they will tailor it for you. The price is somewhere between $50 and $100 depending on your selection. I know that doesn't really help your budget grow but it is the less expensive alternative.

Plans can be how you make them my dear. If you desire a trip to Europe, then it can't be impossible to attend DTBB3 as well. :cooltongue: It's all in the timing.

Also, while Athena may have taken the most pics, she is NOT DTBB's official photographer. Alas, our "official" cinema/videoographer couldn't make it at the last minute, everyone's pics and (as I've now reviewed it) 004's video, covers all the bases. More to follow and more to come.

No....

You know the rest.

If you wern't so GD cool, and your wife so cute, I would have to have to tell the Luxor about that place at that time with that thing and why the window was broken!

If you have any of those realy big ones (like the lotto or publishers clearing house gives you) you can send it to me directly as long as there are at least 4-5 zeros on it. :cooltongue:

Congrats on your continued status. Now you're double vet of sorts between CBn and having attended a DTBB.

As to the video, there's just enough action and one-liners that with just a bit of insert shots and JJM footage, I'm already scheming up a trailer/flash-back of the weekend. Sort of a cross between the CR teaser and Ocean's 13.

"When you cross one Bond fan....You face them all....No....REALLY."

The DAF gag with Joyce, 004 and I is hysterical though and Flicka's amazing underwater photography is great.

On the DTBB3 front (which IS what this thread is SUPPOSED to be about), I had a nice 20 minute chat with the event co-ordinator at the Venetian. Very promising and she loves James Bond. I sent her the link to the DTBB2 thread and it'll either scare her or seal the deal.

And, as Felix stated, we took care of that thing in that place with the guy and time share problem. No worries and I also tip my hat to our mutual "brother from Langley" for cleaning up our mess.

If I had a lotto-sized "really big one", I'd foot the bill for the next DTBB!

Unfortunately my idea of a big check will cover our expenses for DTBB3, which I already consider money well-spent.

Looking forward to seeing the video from 004 (hats off to him dragging that camera nearly everywhere) and the underwater shots from Flicka - who looked great in that wetsuit!

A "Bond-fan event co-ordinator at the Venetian" sounds very promising. When she sees the sheer volume of messages concerning DTBB2 and the post-event feedback I think she will be ready to play "Let's Make A Deal - 003 Style". She will have a lot to live up to, but the Venitian should be able to pull it off.

And glad to hear that my response to the "Time Share Problem" (code for an over-abundance of SMERSH operatives) has been mopped up before they started stinking even worse than when alive!

Agent Ostlund, never give up hope. :cooltongue:

It's a year or less away and soon as we have details, we'll let everyone know.

As for you Miss Brand, I can only imagine the trouble that would ensue once we have a "girl from Five" added into the mix, but you could certainly do worse than having a fine chap like darkpath escort you in your travels. Actually, we'd be sending him as a minder to keep an eye on you.

Vallance always said you were a trouble maker.

Well, that's what I heard...Not that I'd know or anything...

*whistles innocently*
