Update on Unstoppable: Campbell is off the project, Tony Scott has signed on to direct.
Really? Very interesting.
Has Campbell freed himself up from that for a reason?

I'm not too keen on Campbell coming back. I rather like the idea of getting a new director every new film to give us something new.

Green Lantern probably pays better, with possible sequels. Why not do another Bond movie though? I could understand if he didn't want to do Bond again if he went off doing some "artistic challenges", I guess Edge of Darkness with Mel Gibson was a pet project of his, but after that he's basically just signing on to other generic action movies.

Go for Stuart Baird.
Only if u want flavourless direction. He's a top editor, but as a director he's by the numbers, lacks flair and clearly doesn't seem to get the best from his actors. Quote from Downey Jr. on U.S. Marshalls' "I'd rather pull teeth than come here (the set) each day!" An actor clearly unhappy with his director!

It's interesting his Bond movies are, IMO, so much better than his other films. Only The Mark of Zorro has come near the greatness of CR (GE is overrated in my eyes, but still ten times better than stuff like Vertical Limit).
I'd love to see him return to the franchise, though. I would have had no interest in seeing a Green Lantern movie if he didn't direct it, hopefully he'll do a great job with it.
