Am I the only one who doesn't get this...?

I hate to rain on folk's parades, but Eon have nothing to fear....

What was the problem, my dear Zorin?

Eon had nothing to fear? This was a 'fan' film.

These people like Shamelord and Cesari should have had our encouragement instead of being shamelessly (no pun intended) attacked in a back-handed way.

For my part, i'm appreciative of their efforts and at least, unlike Eon, our French/Meditteranean friends are not afraid of experimenting with the sexual imagery that is a significant part of the historical James Bond universe.

Congratulations!

Thank you for your support, HildebrandRarity.

As a matter of fact no one should forget it is a Tribute Film. It cannot and does not have the pretense to be a glorious EON production.

As you're talking about the sexual imagery being important to the James Bond universe, I am seizing the opportunity to say that one scene from the next film will even be a little step closer to that literary imagery.

I also have to say that Shamelady is no longer 56 min but 54 min, not because I deleted scenes but because I trimmed some. The film now has more enegy to it and I hope to make it available soon.

For those who know the film, here is the list of what was reworked

Here is a break-down of what is reworked -- so far.

- technical improvement on the gunbarrel: more detail is now visible
- trimmed gunfight at the Mangin castle in the PTS
- technical improvement on the Main Title Sequence: more detail is now visible
- trimmed first casino scene
- outdoor exterior scene with Bond shot in the street has a different color grading: night blue vs. greenish/brownish previously. The fire from the guns is not perfect yet but improved. The scene has been trimmed.
- totally recut foot chase -- it's now much shorter, the focus of the scene has changed and it seems better integrated in the whole movie.
- trimmed second casino scene. In both casino segments, many clearly out of focus shots have been repaired.
- last but not least, the car chase should now feels a little faster. The scene has more energy to it.

I will keep you posted about the new version's availability.

Precisely!

Keep up the exceptional tribute, Shamelord, and don't forget the sex...Eon, for fear of getting too restrictive a rating and thus alienating the family audience, won't be able to deliver the sexuality that your tribute film can...so don't forget about the sexuality!

Bon Chance!

I will keep you posted about the new version's availability.

Shamelord, I very eagerly await the availability of the new version, though I very thoroughly enjoyed the original version. I also am very excited about your second film, Shatterhand.

The cover art is 90% finished. In fact the single DVD cover art IS finished but for the two DVD version there is a little work to be done. Reediting the film is finished. It will be given soon to digital graders. And I have to learn how to crate a DVD menu and produce a DVD

BTW if anyone has suggestions regarding the best software to do this, they shall be welcome.

Sounds great!

I worked with Ulead DVD Movie Factory or what it was called but that was a while ago. As I remember it wasn't so hard to learn. I'm not in the position of recommend what you should use. I know there probably are others who are better and simplier to use but you might check them out.

I'll try this one. Adobe Encore is hard and does not work very well. Plus I'd like something simple. Thanks for the suggestion.

On Windows, I've used DVD-lab in the past & found it to be a good program. Most of the "easy to use" programs make you stick to pre-fabricated templates. Good for the quick family vacation DVD but bad if you like to be creative with the disc structure. DVD-lab was straightforward to use & very flexible with the layout options. If you already have your video files transcoded for DVD MPEG-2, it burned discs really fast (faster than other programs I have used).

I'll see whether this one can fill the bill too. Thanks. :(
