Since this is chronlogically the second Bond adventure since the reboot, I wonder if they'll follow Fleming and have Leiter fed to a shark.
Hmm. I doubt we're going to see that happen again in the series.
So certain are you, hmmmm?

I don't think they will. My bet is that EON wants to keep him around for a few films to help support their 'new' continuity- wherever that's headed. IMHO.
Well, in the books he still stayed around after Live and Let Die.

Whether it's done by shark or not, I really do hope they take Felix there (In Bond 23 or whatnot). Mainly because it was handled much better in the novel than in LTK and Felix deserves that fair shake. It also added to his character later, when he had come back with his prosthetics. I'd be beside myself if they actually went the literary route on that in the new films.
Also, IMO, there's no real excuse as to why it "shouldn't" happen, when Bond's reboot didn't have to happen in general, much less bringing Felix back at all, and in one piece. "Might as well," IMO.

I would like to see Felix follow the arc that his character had in the novels, but I think that having him lose his leg again would have to either be done in the next film or two (or before he and Bond become friends in this new franchise) or it would need to be done a ways off into the future in order to avoid having another film with a personal vendetta/revenge element to it.

The Invasion was filmed way before he was announced as James Bond on October 14, 2005. It's release just got delayed due to reshoots.Craig is in The Invasion too, looking different from Casino Royale (much more mortal), I guess he lost a lot of the CR workout muscle over a year or two.

I guess they'd just be replaced with whatever they currently get replaced with in the real world. <shrugs>Careful what you wish for. If Felix lost and arm and leg today it would most likely be replaced with some sort of bionic apperatus.

I agree. I think that Jeffrey Wright will be Daniel Craig's Bond's only Leiter.

Nope. Didn't say I was certain.

Any further speculation on the screentime for Mathis vs. Leiter in QOS? Not looking for plot spoilers, please, but hopefully some encouraging news that Wright will get a chance to ACT.
