Proof if need be that CR is a great film !This must be a record with five characters (and their respective actors) from CASINO ROYALE returning in BOND 22?!

I think that it may only tie the record. I believe that there were 5 characters/actors that returned from TSWLM to MR as well.
Roger Moore as Bond
Bernard Lee as M
Desmond Llewelyn as Q
Lois Maxwell as Moneypenny
Geoffrey Keen as Frederick Gray(Minister of Defence)

But I should have remembered Gogol...
Didn't he also reappear in FYEO, Octopussy, AVTAK, and TLD?

I love his one liners. He has a certain charisma that no other actor has brought to the role, IMO.I hope that he does get some more screen time this time around. I can't say that he's the best Felix quite yet because of a lack of screen time, but he's easily the best actor to step into that role.

Agreed. Felix ordering the martini was one of the few highlights of the film, IMO. I loved the way he delivered that line, "Bring me one too, but keep the fruit" (or however the line went) and how it annoyed Le Chiffre. Great stuff.

Agreed. It's nice to have a little continuation in this role.

What we should get with QUANTUM OF SOLACE is more time for the development of the secret agent aspect of Felix Leiter's character. In CASINO ROYALE, he was simply sat around a table losing money, so hopefully this next movie should allow further expansion of his role and his friendship with Bond. It is my hope that Jeffrey Wright will be recurring in the next few movies, and in that manner we can see his partnership with Bond grow over time.
Yes, it would be nice to see him actually do something...

Since this is chronlogically the second Bond adventure since the reboot, I wonder if they'll follow Fleming and have Leiter fed to a shark.
I've got a mental image now of Dominic Greene glowering in a starkly-lit room as Felix Leiter is lowered from high by crane into a shark pit...
...and it scares me.

I hope we get to see his Felix a little more fleshed out this time around...

I don't think they will. My bet is that EON wants to keep him around for a few films to help support their 'new' continuity- wherever that's headed. IMHO.

Well, in the books he still stayed around after Live and Let Die.

Hmm. I doubt we're going to see that happen again in the series.
