French Club Gets 'Royale' Scoop from Campbell
Gadgets in, Brosnan out, announcement within 3 weeks
You guy do realize this is really the first "official" confirmation that the villain in CR will be named Le Chiffre?

This is great news. I personally am lead to believe that it is really a fight between these four. Looking back it seems that Goran vs. Craig is the final two. With Cavill and Worthington as the just in case the other two aren't signed.
Well there is no way to know--who knows maybe it's between Cavill and Worthington. PLUS I HAVE TO ADD AGAIN THAT CAMPBELL DID NOT SAY IT WAS ONLY THESE FOUR.

I'd assume that Mr Campbell will be returning to London now for that all-important meeting...

No Brosnan; gadgets; announcment in less than 3 weeks

Am I wrong in saying this is the first time an official person with a name has said it will not be Brosnan?

And also Brosnan has said again and again it will not be Brosnan.Am I wrong in saying this is the first time an official person with a name has said it will not be Brosnan?
The EON spokesman said it wouldn't. This is the first person directly connected to the film though, AFAIK.
Right. A unnamed Eon spokesperson. Cheers.

I had six months of free time. And not lot to report.
In about three weeks I'm going to start university.
Like 2002, when I had to cover Die Another Day for the fellow German (due to a lack of reliable Bond websites) and at the same time had the most stressful time of my life as far as exams are concerned.
Perfect timing, Eon.
I love ya guys

I'm surprised that Campbell was happy to confirm that Cavill, Craig, Visnjic and Worthington have been tested. Okay, that information was already in the public domain, but I still find it odd that he was willing to name names.
But perhaps not ALL the names.
Granted. But why name names at all? Why not say "We've been testing quite a few people", "Wait for the announcement", "Sorry, I can't talk about the actors concerned", "Names is for tabloids, baby", or something like that? Just strikes me as a bit strange, that's all.

Most of what I've read so far seems pretty sound, doesn't it?

If memory serves me well, they also had a pretty good track record on reporting DAD news. Weren't they even the first to confirm the title back then?

Yes, the French Club has a long history of scoring major scoops and providing very reliable info. That is why when I see something from the French Club, I don't think twice.Good old French Club, well done

Great magazine, too.

But perhaps not ALL the names.
Maybe Campbell let those names be known to get some kind of feedback, whether through message board forums such as this or through other sources. In any case, I'm not crazy with this bunch that has become widely known as the Final Final Four. Why does it have to be limited to four? If the other rumour we've heard lately is to be believed (that they're looking for Bond to be between 28 - 32 years old), then I would think that takes out Craig (who looks older than Brosnan sometimes) and Cavill (who looks too baby-faced in some pics that I've seen). I'm hoping there are other names under serious consideration that they're not divulging. Perhaps Ioan Gruffud or Karl Urban? (Come on Eon, take a hint. )

Very exciting find.
