Well, Brosnan has been scheduled to be filming until the end of December.

So that further works against your argument. If Brosnan is available from the end of December there would be no reason to postpone the start of filming from mid-January to the beginning of February to accomodate him. Thanks for helping solidify the argument that Brosnan will not be returning.

Maybe you should check out the "Negativity check" thread.

Yes I've seen it, and posted in it. My letter was sort of in jest though (but I still really, really don't want to see Visjnic as Bond)

...And you should be able to speak your mind, and articulate your opinions without being confronted by even lighthearted suggestions to visit the contentious "negativity thread." That thread, incidentally, was fairly negative at the outset, with that whole business about looming dark clouds spreading across the net about CR. (shiver) The day you are not allowed to say "I don't like..." or "I prefer instead..." or "why are they...." etc at CBN is the day you find a more tolerant place to express yourself, jests or otherwise.

Actually this declaration from Martin Campbell came right on the heels of the news of Pierce Brosnan's body double being hired for the film. And more importantly soon after MI6 had announced that it will probably be Brosnan.

As far as what Michigan Football said about the fact that Brosnan's curent project is only scheduled to last until the end of December being "proof" that it won't be Brosnan in Casino Royale, that was my exact point, that if they want to convince us that they still have not found a new Bond, then by "delaying" the start of filming it is a good way of making everyone think that they are still searching for the new Bond. When in reality it is going to be Pierce Brosnan as James Bond in Casino Royale.

...My impression from both Campbell interviews is that Pierce really will not be coming back.

For people who are saying that audiences will accept a young Bond with M & Q played by Dench & Cleese maybe wrong. Remember the press / media are going to play a big role in this. With no Brosnan and a younger actor installed they will be looking at every aspect of the Production a la OHMSS but on a grander scale
They have a lot more influence these days than before and they will pick up these continuity error and make a lot noise out of it come to review time.

I believe that the evidence points to Goran V and here's why...He has No film career..aka Brosnan b/f Bond

Actually, his film career is respectable and quite noticeable. Several of my friends who don't follow Bond have perked up their ears at the mention of Visnjic exactly because they've seen him in movies. The Deep End and Practical Magic were popular. He's made twelve movies (not counting made-for-TV), including some while being on a successful TV series. This compares reasonably well to Craig's twenty, especially since Craig has had no big hits.

I haven`t seen Goran Visnjic in all his movies, but I love what I see from ER and The Deep End. I wanted to see Welcome to sarayevio but watched half an hour of it. He is the only one I`d like to see in the role. I also liked Clive owen and hugh jackman but I really hope it is not going to be craig, cavill or worthington but goran.

Personally, I believe that Sean Connery has never left the franchise and will eventually return. No, make that, he HAS been playing as Bond all along. The casting of George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan has all been one huge publicity stunt by EON to get us to believe that Connery was out. They even made alternative versions of the movies with those actors, but in a vault somewhere lies the original Connery versions. You'll see! It will all be revealed one day!

Has happened alot in making films, wouldn't be surprised.


Casino Royale delayed until February 2006, so Tarantino can rewrite Bond with Brosnan.


Why would it be delayed now? It must be re-writing the film for Brosnan.

Campbell would back out of the project if Brosnan returned. He was lured back to the franchise by the promise that he would get to introduce a new Bond.

LOL, it's his speciality of introducing new Bonds, so EON can use that bond and mismanage him, like they did Brosnan, they should write a good bond film for Brosnan, correct their errors of the past, then move forward, they've wasted time, could of been a bond film out this year with pierce, and 2007 new bond, the perfect situation never happened, what a shame.
