Plot:

A wealthy shipping tycoon has funded the development of a sophisticated weapon that has the destructive properties of a nuclear bomb and none of the radiation. He has conscripted a revolutionary from a fictional African country to do his bidding - in the promise that the tycoon will display the power of his sophisticated weapon on the fictional African country, leaving the leaders dead and allowing the revolutionary to sweep in and take power. MI6 have been aware that the tycoon has been dealing with the revolutionary - and managed to have an operative employed as his Personal Assistant. A cruise liner owned by the tycoon is destroyed - and the daughter of the Prime Minister is dead so MI6 decides to step up their investigation of the tycoon, so they send in Bond who adopts the persona of a disgruntled former RN sailor seeking employment from the tycoon, the guise works and Bond is soon welcomed into the shipping corporation as the tycoons bodyguard. Bond and the operative clash - and they team up to investigate the tycoons plot. The set up is complicated when a stunning environmentalist turns up - and exposes the true nature of the plot, endangering both Bond and the undercover operative. Exposed - the three must work together to prevent the tycoon from achieving his ultimate goal: using a combination of his ships and the sophisticated weapon to blow up the Panama Canal. The action leads up to a stunning confrontation between Bond and the tycoon on the tycoons private luxury yacht -

wow just joined this site and this particular thread interested me. some obscure and very brave decisions as for future cast.

terence stamp for M a quite a good idea and was a little appauled at the idea of rowan atkinson as Q but starting to come around to that as being a novel idea.

But my choice for Bond has got to be Christian Bale I reckon far superior choice than any other name floating around except for Brosnan. PLus he is young enough to get a good few films in.

My second post here, sorry. Just had this on my mind.

Eon Productions Presents

Jack Davenport as Ian Fleming's James Bond 007 in:

Death Warrant

Starring:

Rhona Mitra as Kimberly Scott
Anna Paquin as Alicia Scott
Kevin Spacey as Benjamin Price
The Rock as Killner
Nicolette Sheridan as Evelyn Price
Thomas Jane as Eric Warman
Terrence Stamp as M
John Cleese as Q
Camilla Power as Moneypenny

Plot:
Opening seqeunce is Bond tracking a terrorist buying arms. Bond is in a public place, and is discovered by the arms dealer. Bond has to take him out, but the terrorist has other plans, littering the streets with gunfire, killing innocents. The terrorist gets in a sportscar and speeds off. Bond finds a motorcycle and speeds off after him. Bond succeeds as he tskes out the terrorist and recovers the weapon, but the deaths of innocent people affect him, in particular one young boy just staring at him. Opening music begins for the titlesong. After the titles, we cut to 005, Kimberly Scott is investigating an incident that got 002 killed while in Indonesia. Scott is on the run for her life, and is suddenly caught, and appearantly killed. Bond, meanwhile is on leave, when he is called back to England. Once on the scene, Bond learns of the fates of 002 and 005. Bond goes to Indonesia to retrace 005's steps, and comes across her cousin, Alicia Scott, an MI-5 agent, who is investigating her cousin's disappearance. While there, Bond finds a known assassin, Eric Warman. Bond follows Warman, who has a meeting with Killner. Bond and Alicia film the event, and report to M. M then informs them that the man Killner, is a bodyguard of billionaire industrialist Benjamin Price, an American. Learning that Price has recently bought an Island there, Bond arranges to get invited to a party on the island, and sends Alicia home. She later sneaks onto the island. Bond mingles with the crowd and meets Price's wife, Evelyn. She is a bored housewife, and naturally Bond seduces her, and learns that Price has a secret complex on the island no one is allowed to go on. Alicia, meanwhile is caught and reunited w/ her cousin, who is still alive. Bond then takes leave of Evelyn and tries to get in to the complex, only to be caught and revealed by Benjamin Price. Bond is led away to the complex, and learns that 005 and Alicia are ok. Price, as it turns out was a sleeper agent of the KGB, who had nothing left after the end of the Soviet Union, and seemed to be free of it. Until a mission by the British government killed his son. Enraged, Price issued a death warrant on all British agents. Bond duduces it was Price's son who was killed. Using a diversion, Bond is able to free Kimberly, who takes on Killner, while Bond faces off with Warman. Alicia gets free and helps Kimberly take out Killner. Evelyn is killed while trying to help Bond. Bond sends Warman down for good by throwing him face first into a stone wall. Injured, Bond gives chase to Price in a dazzling firefight. Bond, however gets the final revenge, by killing Price. Back at London, M learns of Price's actions, and thanks to the skills of 005, has managed to learn the locations of other sleeper former Soviet agents working in Engalnd and abroad. The movie ends with Kimberly and Alicia paying a visit to a wounded 007, only to end up joining him under the sheets. End

I like:

Q: Tom Baker
Villain: Terence Stamp/Ken Watanabe/ Oded Fehr
Moneypenny: Anna Friel
Bond girl: Eva Mendes could be good

Would also be nice to find a role for Eddie Izzard I think - before anyone reacts with horror, I just mean a small role, he was very good in Ocean's Twelve. And Michael Gambon is always good value but I wouldn't like him for M.
I'd also like to bring back Michael Madsen, but only because he's so fine...

Directed by Christopher Nolan would also be nice, or I think Matthew Vaughn could also do a nice job as long as he can leave behind the English gangster film stuff.

Don't know how I forgot this one(!) but Dougray Scott as James Bond. Kind of an important part of a Bond is James Bond.
