For those LA-based CBners going to the signing in Torrance next week, if you haven't bought your copy of SilverFin yet, don't. I went to signing last night for the new Star Wars book and the way Brentanos does it is you have to buy at least one book by the author at the event -- your receipt is your ticket to get a signature.
This is the way its always been at every book signing I have been to. It only makes sense, the book store is hosting the author in the hopes that they will sell more copies of that book.

Maybe give him a CBn t-shirt? That would be cool if we could get Bond people to start wearing CBn swag.
Darren and I will be seeing him this Friday in DC.

He seems to have really sweated making this a good book and really cares what the fans think (he is truly worried will we crucify him for keeping Bond in Eton for more than two terms

Sounds like a good time though. I wish I could have attended one while he was in Chicago Oh well.
Side question, when is it expected that Book 2's title will be revealed? August or so?

And of all the moments for your James Bond ringtone to be clearly audible... this has to have been a great moment.

Great for Higson to be at a Borders. The Borders at Wall Street and Broadway doesn't even have the book in yet.
So much for the huge release and marketing.

Yes, it doesn't seem the book is getting quite the same in-store push as the UK edition.

you mentioned in your article that "Higson said IFP has many exciting James Bond projects in the works with an announcement of something very cool coming soon. He mentioned a few of these projects, but then cautioned, "I don't know what I can talk about and what I can't."
Can you reveal what projects are in work?
BTW, great article
