It is stranger than that. They list a dumpbin of 40 hardcover copies going for over four hundred dollars at A.UK, but they don't list individual copies of the HC yet. Let's just get 40 of us together to order the HC, and that will be that .The UK EDITION is now available.
A paperback?

Yes, that is strange. I noted that "dumbbin" listing in my article. It looks like there will be a UK hardcover edition, but Amazon doesn't have it listed yet. I wrote to IFP to see if they can clarify this for me.It is stranger than that. Also, what is a 'dumpbin' copy?

A "dump" is a display case pre-filled with books for bookstores. This one lists 40 SilverFin hardcovers. That's a good sign. Means they're putting some promotion into this. Having a dump is more than they ever did for Benson.Knowing that the value of new James Bond books appreciates somewhat, I'm very keen to get a hold of a first edition hardback copy so I'll be interested to know the moment Amazon.co.uk lists them.

I worked in a bookstore after High School and I remeber the day we got a "dump" filled with Icebreaker paperbacks. I still have the header card for that.

Why do you think that nobody apart from Bond fans even knew of their existence? So, none of the Benson books ever got those "dump" bin copies?

I would have thought perhaps Zero Minus Ten. They only got less and less known of as they moved on until he finally stopped with The Man With The Red Tattoo. Why do you think that nobody apart from Bond fans even knew of their existence? So, none of the Benson books ever got those "dump" bin copies?

Depending on the typeset and such, could this be one of the longer Bond books so far?

Not sure if this has ever been discussed, but Amazon.co.uk lists the UK paperback as having 384 pages.

Good point. Actually, this would make SilverFin the longest Bond novel, beating Goldfinger (317).

Then again, those Harry Potter doorstoppers are fairly large, too.
Here I was thinking we'd end up with a Goosebumps-sized novel, when instead, it seems we'll be getting the longest Bond book yet. Moreover, we're getting two of these in the one year, as opposed to the annual Gardner and Benson outings.
Still, Young Bond. *shudders*
