Oh definitely. I should have worded that better. I always wait for their 10%-30% discounts.Wait until it's discounted. It's full price right now, but Amazon typically knocks 20% or 30% off.

Hmm, I think you're right actually. And Amazon only screwed that up for some, it's just that hardcover and oversize trade paperbacks sometimes are catalogued similarily.Oh dear...
But that price has to be hardcover.

I often see the US amazon getting them up first actually.I find it curious that it has not yet appeared for pre-order on the UK Amazon site...seeing as the UK edition comes out a month before the U.S. But I expect it might show up soon. When it does, I'll update the article with the link.

Yeah, don't worry. It's only preorder.Check this out:
Casino Royale (2003 penguin reissue):
Amazon.com Sales Rank (Books): 39,465
The Man With The Red Tattoo (2002 hardcover):
Amazon.com Sales Rank (Books): 49,474
SilverFin (2005)
Amazon.com Sales Rank (Books): 2,096,307
Of course, who besides CBn is giving this book any publicity at the moment (and why would they -- it's still 7 months away)? I expect we will see a dramatic change in that number when the book is actually released. I just found this...amusing.

You know, I had that exact same thought today. Now if they could get Richie Fahey to design the cover for the US edition I might be interested.

A book set in Britain in the 30's with an 50's Americana cover? I hope not.Now if they could get Richie Fahey to design the cover for the US edition I might be interested.

How do we know though that Fahey wouldn't be good at doing a cover for it though? Why get him if it's not his style? Why not somebody else more suitable? Just because we've heard of someone doesn't mean they're the best for the job.

What is odd, is that it's completely the point not to destroy the series, but to hopefully make some changes that get more interested. I'll be intrigued to see how well it works or doesn't work with this idea here about the Young James Bond books. This isn't James Bond, folks. It's another nail in James Bond's coffin, like what they are doing to the movie series. Why are so many people these days trying to kill my two favorite franchises?
