I despise Tim Dalton's movies. I liked them when they first came out. They were Bond movies, I went and saw them, I was young, I didn't know any better, blah, blah, blah. There is no way on God's Green Earth Dalton was playing the same James Bond we all know and love. Carver is right, Dalton's Bond was a wimp. The fight with the guy in the truck is downright disgracegul. My father noticed that the first time he watched it with me on video in the late 80s. I just tried to ignore that, but he was right. I've already made known in other posts what I think of the fight with Necros. It has a nice John Barry score by the way. Dalton will always be known as the politically correct Bond. The Living Daylights is a film that tries to throw everything out that we all loved about Bond. It kinda reminds me of the first season or two of Star Trek The Next Generation when the crew was all high and mighty and tried too hard to be different. It's been said that Brosnan is a combo of Moore and Connery, and that is one reason people love him. He takes his own personality and talent and takes elements of 2 of his predecessors and makes the part work. Dalton....ugh, you know, I just don't have anything nice to say about his Bond.

I think we he means to type 'cown' he means clown. And yes, I am offended.Originally posted by Bondpurist
I thought that was his name. 'irishcrown' and 'irishclown' are pretty similar - I thought it was a reference to the cown scenes in octopussy

"Oh, I got into a shouting match with some fella who really liked Timothy Dalton as Bond."
"Timothy who?"
If you want to argue and mince words about world peace, ok. But Dalton as Bond? I'd rather take out the garbage.
