A-hem.

Back on topic. :)

Two things really jumped out at me with this viewing. One was just how feakin' GOOD Jane Seymour is! I really believe her in the scene where she loses her "powers." The moment could have been laughable in the hands of a lesser actress. But it works. Also, it hit me that the structure of this movie is: Bond is captured - Bond escapes. Bond is captured - Bond escapes. That's the whole movie! Capture - escape. And, you know what, it works just fine. It doesn't need to be mucked up with convoluted plotting and personal whatnot.

Oh, and Roger Moore IS James Bond, damn-it!

Though my 1st desire was to pummel hum... that probably would not have been smart considering I'm attempting to receive employment by the evil MGM.

And are the boys still clinging to the hope it will be in Key West?

Yes, it was discussed. Though it would be wonderful... there is that fact that it will be hell hot and... well... we'll just have to wait to see what happens. I will just be thrilled to get out of Cali for a while!!! My yearly vacation! :) Since I've not had one since 2000, I'm going to start with one in 2004.

Should I be worried? Forget it...I am worried now.  :)

Worry all you want... it will only be in vain :) hee hee

Oooh.  I didn't know there was another coming up.  Who's running that?

Bryce and I have been talking about it for a while now. He threw the idea at Matt004... and Wed night was the first night we both talked about it with ZenCat. So... it's kinda a Cali DAD 1 year anniversary party-ish-type-thing that us LA, CA locals are going to use as an excuse to dress up and partay! :)

I wonder how many scary stories start with that line.  :)

Oh you don't want to know, my dear :)

Not to rain on your parade, zen, but isn't that true of virtually all the Bond films?

Now here's where I agree with you! If only you could some day talk some sense into Purvis and Wade (and, I guess, into Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson, who are the ones commissioning the "personal" storylines).

Yes, well.... in seven out of 20 films, he undoubtedly is.:)

Yes it is...but it really hit me with LALD. Also, I'm not sure it's been as true in the recent films (TLD on).

And strangely enough as I read this bit, "Battle Without Honor or Humanity" started to play on my Kill Bill soundtrack. Apropos, no?

Now...all joking aside...

Zencat, this guy from MGM can't hate you from one meeting, years ago can he?

If he does, he's mindless idiot, and not worthy of you or Cold or Black Dahlia.

I have spoken.

I know hate is too strong of a word, but I could see some higher up somewhere simply remembering you because he thought your idea of directing your own film was insane.

I say this because higher ups in education have a wicked sense of memory.

Regret making you wait in line, huh... *ponders* ...run for the hills, Bryce!!! :) lol

Hope you've got some crossword puzzles or a good book to read (something light...like War & Peace) because that day will NEVER come....

Besides, I don't have any gold chains or that much chest hair.

Actually I thought I'd work on a compendium of all the legal shennagins Kevin McClory has pulled through the years.

Touche' Athena;) Never pass up the opportunity to throw in a Bond line/response.

Goldeneye would have been a very interesting flick if it had been 004 & I at odds....He'd never sell out though.
