Top Secret news brought to you by Athena... courtesy of John Cork & Bruce Scivally (Authors of 'James Bond: The Legacy'). I will be attending as a guest of John and Bruce. :)

On October 22, there'll be a screening of "Live and Let Die" at the Director's Guild on Sunset to benefit the Motion Picture and Television Fund Foundation. It's a rare chance to see the film on the big screen.

I think they're supposed to start selling tickets in a couple of weeks; the number to call to make reservations is 818/876-1900 (the Motion Picture and Television Fund number).

No idea, G. But I think if you call this number 818/876-1900 (the Motion Picture and Television Fund number) and ask them about the LALD screening on Oct 22 they would be able to tell you. If they don't have the info now, they should have it in a week or so.

Ya, if anyone on the board comes to the screening it would be great if you could come hang out with John Cork, Bruce S, and I :)

Hmmm...Few good post screening spots to "talk-shop" at along Sunset Blvd.....

"Dublin's" anyone? There's always Sky-Bar and Red Rocks....Key Club might be happening.

Just a thought.

Amen....

All we have here in the Washington DC area is the "International Spy Museum" stuff and thats dedicated to all spys not just 007.

Although the James Bond 007 section is pretty sweet (with that Astin Martin DB5 and everything!)

Live and Let Die.

Great flick.

At the time, the boat jumping stunt was a worlds record of over 110 feet!

I wonder if any other records have every been broken in a Bond film?

I know of John and Bruce from browsing 007 coffee-table reading. Bought 'The Bond Files' by Andy Lane & Paul Simpson though, cos they're Dr Who guys. Way to go :-)

PS I returned LALD two weeks ago, but the rental thinks it's overdue... agh.

In what other series does the male lead change his face every few years, use unbelievable gadgets and have constant female, er, companionship?

Just picked up two tickets. 004 might make it. If not, I'll be bringing the Irish Kitty.

*note to self - Get Jaguar detailed and suit to cleaners*

See you "usual suspects" there for some more Bonding.

Haven't seen LALD on the big screen in 10 years. Should be a blast.

Looking forward to meeting the kitty, if she comes.

Neighbor girl "Angie" has made some noises about possibly coming. (Oxygen will be provided for all the men.)

And yeah...more pix of 003 and 004 in trouble. That's just what I need for my wallpaper. :)

I would prefer pix of Miss Halle Berry if she does in fact show up for this. And of course Bryce and Bond if it happens.

I would love to, but I am currently in rehearsal for

Arsenic & Old Lace at the Curtis Threatre in Brea.

I do not know yet if I have that night free and probably wont until Monday, October, 20.

Otherwise, I would love to attend, to say the least.
