I did enjoy the modern setting of 'Carte Blanche' though...found it hard to keep things on the same track when the time lines are different in the stories, from 'DMC' to 'CB' and now back with this new one.

I've never heard of this author until his Bond book was announced, but judging from the plot descriptions on Amazon of his works, he sounds like he writes my kind of fiction. I'll definitely check it out.

I'm going in a blank slate, I'm on purpose avoiding his work. When Deaver and Faulks both got the call I went out and really enjoyed their stuff ... then I read their Bond novels.

One of the best Boyd's book along with the New Confessions. I love Logan's character. As in most of Boyd's novels, it is a cynical looser, but so likeable.
Great book and the mini serie with Matthew McFaydden was pretty faithful
