Roger Moore was the only Bond interviwed. Bond was labelled a Hero.

Actresses who commented favourably for Bond:
Jodie Foster
Geena Davis
Sigourney Weaver

Actors:
Malcolm MacDowell - "Bond was a complete gentleman, but could also be a dirty fighter".

They showed an equal amount of Connery/Moore - they also had all 5 actors time at saying the famous line. Moore's was from OP.

Roger revealed that he played Bond by remembergin a line from one of the books. The line was:

"He did not particularly enjoy killing, but took great pride that he could do it very well".

Roger had a super sharp suit on, and looked, well, debonair and suave.

He certainly played the part that way. In some respects he was closer to Flemings Bond than Sean Connery.

The only scenes he was truly ruthless in killing was Sandor (in TSWLM) and Locque (in FYEO).

I saw the program too. Roger looked great! It's nice that he was there to give his thoughts on the character. I would have put James Bond ahead of Indiana Jones on that list though.

Well, it finally proves to the nay-sayers that Moore was very much interested in playing Ian Fleming's James Bond. I knew that all along, of course;P.

I didn't realize that was even a point of contention Dr. Carl.

It seems that whenever somebody is doing any kind of restrospective or something similar relating to Bond, Roger is always there. He seems to be proud of his involvement of the series and realizes how much fans like it. It gives me greater respect for him seeing this (not that it was lacking before).

Sadly, for a lot of people it is, particularly for the small but vocal Dalton-is-Fleming's-Bond group. The Connery-pushers represent a strong second place in that category. I've heard a lot of people contend that Moore never even bothered to crack open a Fleming book, let alone base his portrayal on elements from the books.

Well that might have something to do with the fact the producers discouraged their actors from reading the books. If my memory serves me it was Jane Seymour who was chastized by Harry Saltzman for reading the book "Live and Let Die" on the set.
As for Dalton-is-Flemings Bond, what dream world are those fans living in?
