Probably Octopussy.

Least favourite - View.

Which reminds me of another point that was always up for whinging when DAD was being marketed about the "equal billing" for Brosnan and Berry.

Weren't the posters for Spy, Mr, Octopussy and View all with Bond and girl in equalish dimensions? Does anyone complain about those?

Moonraker - staring at the poster is sometimes more fun than watching the movie itself;P.

I would also say FYEO, I thought those legs were so sexy.
My second favorite is the combo one from AVTAK. That's the one with Roger and Stacey on the Golden Gate Bridge as the inset and Roger and Grace off to the left side.
I guess the reason for this is, aside from her acting, I actually at the time thought Tanya Roberts was THE most beautiful woman in the world (okay so that's superficial -- so what) :)

My least favorite is probably TSWLM. A lame poster for an excellent movie!

This poster is actually my most favourite one. I'm a sucker for Bob Peak's style.

Admittedly, it doesn't look much in small size like on a CD cover, but when it's a large movie poster it rocks.

I should probably qualify that by saying the UK quad art for View, with its two poster designs incorporated on to some crud green background. The US one is fine.

I think the best drawn poster is octopussy :)

I liked the OP one too....I like the movies that have a montage of action. I guess Brett and I will have to agree to disagree :)

But which one? The teaser or the one-sheet? I actually like the teaser better. Bond is still between those terrific legs, but he's smaller and he's hunched over, as if he's just been caught. It's a great pose. And the image is rimmed by several graphic 007s that fade into the red.

The regular one-sheet has Moore bigger, shooting, and for some reason they got rid of the 007 logos around the image.

I also really like the AVTAK Teaser A. I remember the day I got the call from my friend at Collector's Bookstore that they just got in the new Bond poster. I rushed down, he unrolled it on the table, and I almost wet myself. What made it extra exciting was this was the first indication that the movie would have an action sequence set on the Eiffel Tower! Oh for those pre-internet days when you didn't know anything until the finished product was there right before your eyes.

This one should have been the final poster, in my opinion.

The one they went for is too plain and the colours look washed out. But I gather the final one had to include the "Bond Girl," however lame she was.

I remember those days.....Going to a Bond movie (for me) was more exciting because I went in there not knowing next to anything about the movie - just that it was Bond.

The internet has managed to spoil every movie since TND for me

Roger's Bonds definitely had the best poster artwork. I think the entire movie art industry was at a peak in the '70s and '80s, actually. Remember how stunning the artwork was for Star Wars Ep. 4, for example. Pity we probably will never see work of that quality again - movie poster art is just not a priority anymore.

I love that book that came out last year...the one with all the posters in it, it was a nice companion piece to the "Legacy" book....It was also nice to have all those posters....
I agree that Rogers movies had the best posters...

Roger didn't have a bad poster- maybe TMWGG, but that wasn't too bad.
Octopussy's great- but try looking at it and imagining Roger as depicted trying to walk!

I think Zencat and I are both fans of the Moonraker posters, and this one is my absolute favourite of the Moore posters.

They just don't make them like they used to.
