After spending all day in front of the TV watching the JAG marathon on USA, all I have to say is put Catherine Bell in as the new Bond girl. She'd be perfect. Check out the following pic. If you don't think she's hot, you got a problem.

I don't know if I've ever seen her before or not, but she looks very attractive from the photos. But, if she's American then forget it. Unless she can put on a good accent and fool the audience into thinking she's from somewhere other than here. I just don't want to see anymore American Bond girls for quite a while.

I was going to post something about her before I read this, Chandler! I guess it's right about what they say about great minds thinking alike.

I think she'd be great. She can act reasonably, can put forward a lot of sex appeal, and is already an actress in America whose name should sound at least familiar to any audience member. In addition, it may be the perfect role for her to take if she wants to get out there and seperate herself from JAG.

As for her putting on an accent to make her seem foreign, I wouldn't be against the idea but I could care less if she's played as an American. Would be great to have her. She could play an good damsel in distress or a sexy, butt-kicking villianess.

According IMDb she was a body double for Isabella Rossellini in a nude scene in Death Bcomes Her in '92.

Actually, that's the title I meant. I was confusing it with Boomerang which was the 2 part JAG ep set in Australia in which she wore a blue bikini.

I also have a clip from some cable show called Dream On in which she goes topless.

I never realised that she is (was ?) willing to bare a bit. She seems so straight and innocent looking on JAG.

I do not think she would be willing to bare it all anymore. She is becoming more recognizable with JAG, she was also young when she did those scene (In her early twenty's), and, she just had a baby.

She's english. Though someone mentioned it... English father, Iranian mother. She speaks fluent Farsi also. Oh and she's easy to look at and can act. Kinda girl you wanna say "walk slower so we can enjoy it longer" to.

I would love it if they got Catherine to come in and play someone who James actually falls in love with--who doesn't turn out to be evil or a villainess or dies. They just can't end up together because of their professions--similar to the endings for both Moonraker and Never Dream of Dying.

You know, I mentioned I had never seen her before earlier. But, I actually had. I looked at those pics last night and then today I went to take my little brother to see Bruce Almighty(my 2nd time seeing it). Suddenly it hit me, Catherine Bell is that news lady chick! She IS really attractive. I've never seen Jag though, but at least I can say I've seen SOMETHING with her in it. Her accent slipped a few times too. I like her though.

Hmm, if she could do a decent foreign dialect, I wouldn't mind seeing her in the next one as a Xenia-type character. Just not another American one, who claims to be "Bond's equal." If not that, I'd like to at least see her in a bit part, like the Danish professor in TND. Judging from the "source material," she could be a pretty good Bond girl.
