I'll see it next week sometime. I'm not going near a movie theater this weekend. It's gonna be nuts.

Good points: Keanu looked lovely (he'll never age because he'll never move his face), some very fun bad guys, new and old who picked up the fun quotient considerably from our rather dreary heros. Basically I had an OK time but then I only had an OK time at the first Matrix, so take it as you will.

And Zencat, I felt the same way, I wasn't sure about the first 20 minutes of X2 but at the end I really liked the movie.

If you see it, be sure to stay after the credits to see a teaser trailer for Matrix: Revolutions!!

Ok, the effects were quite nice and the story is outstanding, but, well, they could have made more out of it.

"The Matrix: Rebooted" is the name of a special edition DVD that was brought out. I dont think it included the movie on the disc, but it was basically a REALLY in-depth look into the creation of the first movie.
Well, atleast that's what i read.

I'm getting worried!! The first film was pretty good IMHO. Not the best, but the visuals were great, and the story intriguing. I'm looking forward the Reloaded mainly due to the hype around it.
I'll be seeing it on the 24th (it comes out in Hong Kong on the 22nd), which is a little late but better than nothing! I'll try not to keep my expectations too high - due to alot negative comments. From the reviews I've read, I'm expecting a movie with a mediocre first half, alot of talking and philosophy but great visuals and fun if you don't pay TOO much attention to the ramblings...

i thought that the movie had a worldwide same day release, which is why down here in australia we had to wait till friday when movies are usually released on thursdays.

Over at ign.com , they gave the movie 3 1/4 stars out of 5. I'll go and see it anyway because I want to know why it will get that bunch of Oscars next year (attention: sarcasm
