Do Blofeld, Stalin, and Kim share the same tailor?

Fleming wrote Blofeld as hiding his fat in double-breasted suits and Blofeld wore a lapelled coat in FRWL, as well as a Nehru in OHMSS (not sure about Thunderball). Anyway, I'm wondering what this weird style of suit is, and why Blofeld gave up his sense of fashion when facing Sean Connery in YOLT and DAF (the latter also contains a joke by Blofeld about ripping Bond's coat's shoulder).

Dude, they call it the Nehru Jacket & it was big back in the 60's.

Jonathan Pryce wore a variation of the Nehru in TND.

To find out what a Nehru collar looks like, take a suit jacket with notched lapels, and turn the collar up and the lapels in. This is the Nehru/'choker' collar which was--and is--used in military uniforms. In fact, the notched-lapel jacket was 'invented' because officers and soldiers would turn down their collars and open up the front of their jackets to be more comfortable.
