I've recently began writing a Bond screenplay called Death Too Soon. You might recognize the title from an old movie but I relized how well the title suited the plot so I decided to keep it. The script centers around Bond investigating Alexander Apollo, the head of a chemical company attempting to revive a British military project that developed and age acceleration formula. I have about thirty pages so far and I estimate that the script should be completed by the middle of June.

Below I'm going to post the pre-titles sequence so you can judge.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Bond Gunbarrel Logo rolls across the screen. The figure in the silhouette turns toward the camera and fires. Blood drips down the screen. Iris into:

EXT. THE CARRIBEAN SEA, JUST OF THE COAST OF PUERTO RICO - DAY

It was a beautiful day. The sun beat down on the water's surface, reflecting the light to an almost blinding ray. The cool breaze did not disturb the calmness of the water.

The silence is broken as a Hunter helicopter flies past the screen. The camera pans down to reveal that it is leading three motorboats and three jetskis.

The camera zooms about a mile and a half to the east to reveal a medium sized Cabin Cruiser resting in the middle of the sea.

The camera slowly pans around the cruiser.

BOND
(V.O)
I'm glad I put in for that vacation after all.

INT. CABIN CRUISER - SAME

The interior of the cabin cruiser is quite delightful. The rug is a crimson color and the walls and cabinets are made of bolivian wormwood. There is a pool table in the center and a tiny refrigerator on near the couch.

The local puerto rican radio station can be heard from a small radio that is build into the wall. On the couch, we see James Bond 007, dressed only in black and red swimming trunks, kissing a woman in a black two-piece bathing suite.

She has light brown hair and appears to be in her early thirties. The woman is Sara Mathison and she just happens to be Bond's new assistant.

BOND

If Moneypenny knew about this, she's
put me over her knee.

SARA

Well she's about ten-thousand miles
away right now so I wouldn't worry
about Moneypenny.

BOND

Curious that M didn't raise an eyebrow
at the fact that we both took the same
vacation times.

SARA

I'm starting to think that old woman is
going senile.

Bond walks to the wine cabinet and removes a Bollinger R.D. He pours it into two glasses. He walks back to the couch and gives the first glass to Ms. Mathison.

BOND
(Raising his glass)

Cheers.

SARA
(Raising her glass)

For Queen And Country, James.

EXT. CARRIBEAN SEA - A MILE AWAY - SAME

The Hunter, followed by the boats and jetskis continue on their coarse.

INT. CABIN CRUISER - SAME

Bond takes another sip of the Bollinger.

BOND

Ah... perfect.

They both go to take another sip of the drink when they are interupted by the sound of a helicopter approaching from the west.

SARA
(A bit worried)

James... what is that?

BOND

I'll check. Stay inside.

Bond hands her his glass. He runs to the pool table, picks up a pair of binoculars and runs up the stairs to the deck.

EXT. CABIN CRUISER - SAME

Bond looks through the binoculars.

BOND'S POV: Bond scans the surface from left to right. He quickly notices the the Hunter with the hunting group behind it.

Bond lowers the binoculars, trying to figure out his next move. He runs back down the stairs.

INT. CABIN CRUISER - SAME

He puts the binoculars down on the pool table.

SARA
(now, very worried)

James... what's going on?

BOND
(smiling)

Don't worry.

He grabs his walther from under the pool table and holsters it in the rear pocket of his swimming trunks.

He runs back up the stairs. Obviously nervous, she gulps down the drinks in both her hands.

EXT. CABIN CRUIER - SAME

Bond approaches the helm and turns the key, which was already in the ignition. He then presses a red button next to the ignition and a large gun, the size of a cannon, equiped with three rockets on each side rises out of the rear of the cruiser.

Bond runs up to the gun and immediatly takes control. The Hunter helicopter fires its machine guns at the cruiser but falls just short of the rear. Bond fires back with the giant gun, but the bullets just bounce off the Hunter's armor.

EXT. MOTOR BOAT #1- SAME

There are two men on the boat. The driver is a puerta rican man with a sub-machine gun in his right hand and the man behind him also puerta rican, but he holds a AK-47. He fires the gun at the Cruiser. The driver also fires his gun as he steers his boat.

EXT. CABIN CRUISER - SAME

The fire bounces off of the big gun, not harming Bond.
Bond aims at the first motorboat and fires one of the rockets from the side.

EXT. MOTORBOAT #1- SAME

The driver and the gunman see the rockets coming straigt for them. They both dive into the water and Bond's rockets destroys the boat.

One of the jetskis looses controls as it goes through the smoke and crashes into a piece of debri, launching him foward.

EXT. CABIN CRUISER - SAME

Bond, who is viciously firing away at the attackers, notices one of the jetskis get too close to the boat. He quickly takes out his walther from his back pocket and shoots the driver of the jetski right in the face.

Bond fires a rocket at another jetski, hitting the driver right in the chest, sending him flying backward.

EXT. MOTORBOAT #2 - SAME

The driver is a caucasian man with blonde hair. The man behind him is holding a huge rocket launcher. He loads the weapon, puts it over his shoulder and aims and then fires the rocket at Bond's cruiser.

EXT. CABIN CRUISER - SAME

Bond sees the rocket heading for the cruiser and quickly aims at it and shoots it, destroying it. He quickly re-positions the gun at motorboat #2 and fires

EXT. MOTORBOAT #2 - SAME

The fire from Bond's gun knocks off both the driver and the man behind him.

INT. HUNTER HELICOPTER- SAME

The pilot of the helicopter wears a large, red helmet with a hammer painted onto the forehead. He grabs the control stick and prepares to fire.

EXT. CABIN CRUISER - SAME

The fires hits rear of Bond's boat. A bullet ricochets off the gun and grazes Bond's forehead, leaving a bloody gash. Bond is so pre-occupied with the helicopter and remaining motorboat, he does not even notice that one of the assasins had climbed onto the side of the cruiser, off his jetski.

The man slowly sneeks up behind Bond and begins to strangle him. Bond struggles for air. He quickly elbow strikes the assasin in the stomach and then backhands him in the face, knocking him to the floor.

Bond picks the man up and jabs him right in the face, forcing the man back again. The assasin takes his knife out of the holder and begins to slash at Bond. Bond ducks and counters the slash with a knee to stomach.

Bond grabs the man and throws him into the sea.

INT. HUNTER HELICOPTER - SAME

The pilot positions the control stick and is preparing to launch a rocket at Bond's cruiser.

EXT. CABIN CRUISER - SAME

Bond positions the big gun toward the helicopter and fires two rockets at the war machine.

INT. HUNTER HELICOPTER - SAME

The pilot realizes that the rockets are heading for him and tries to manuever, but he is too late. The rockets destroy the helicopter, sending to remains to eternal rest in the sea.

The helicopter descends right onto the last motorboat, destroying it also.

EXT. CABIN CRUISER - SAME

Bond breaths a breath of relief.

BOND

Two birds with one stone...

Bond grabs his forehead, trying to ease the pain of his injury. After a couple of seconds, he heads back down the stairs.

INT. CABIN CRUISER - SAME

Sara sees James and jumps up to hug him.

SARA

Are you alright??!

BOND

Yes... I'm fine.

Bond grabs his cell phone from the pool table and dials a number.

BOND
(into phone)

This is 007. I'll report to HQ in
two days.

Bond puts the phone down and looks at Sara who is sitting on the coach.

EXT. CABIN CRUISER - SECONDS LATER

Bond grabs the key from the ignition and throws it into the sea. The camera pans up to the sun.

BOND
(V.O)

Now... where were we?

We hear Sara giggle and the sun transforms into the shape of a dancing woman, taking us into the main titles. It's filled with the usual arrangment of dancing women, but also sports cars and motorcycles, with fireworks in the backround
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I would really like to hear what you think about this. Feel free to be as negative as you like, (or positive!:) )

That's a very interesting teaser sequence...especially since we have no idea who the girl is yet, and if she is in with the guys who just attacked Bond.

I think you have the makings of a very good story here.

Here's the next part of the screenplay, the M Briefing...
----------------------------------------------------------------------

EXIT MAIN TITLES, FADE INTO:

INT. MONEYPENNY'S RECEPTION ROOM - MI6 HQ - ONE WEEK LATER

Bond walks through the door into the reception room as Moneypenny is typing furiously on her computer.

MONEYPENNY

James! How was the carribean?

BOND

It was stimulating Moneypenny...

(moves closer to her
desk)

very stimulating.

MONEYPENNY

Oh... I'm sure it was James.

BOND
(grinning)

You know me to well.

MONEYPENNY

M's waiting for you in her office, she's
not in a good mood.

BOND
(sarcastically)

What else is new...

M
(on intercom)

Plenty, 007.

Moneypenny gives Bond a sly look.

INT. M'S OFFICE - SAME

Bond walks through the red coution door and approaches M, who is going through various papaers on her desk.

M
(looking at the papers
on her desk)

Have a seat, Bond.

Bond sits down in the chair opposite M. Nothing but silence. M does not even acknowledge that Bond is there.
Bond fakes a cough to try to catch her attention. He gets no reaction.

He fakes another cough to try to get her attention again.

M
(looking at the papers
on her desk)

I'm perfectly aware thay your here,
007, so keep the noise to a minimum.

Bond rolls his eyes. M finally looks up.

M

What do you know of the F.O.Y. Corporation?

BOND

The Fountain Of Youth Corporation. It's a
conglomerate of various chemical producing
companies. They produce pills that stimulate
various organs, making them as good as new.
In short, they can make an ninety year old
run the Boston Marathon.

M
(looking down at her papers)

I see you've done your homework, Bond.

(looking up at him)

Your teachers must have loved you.

Bond gives a small smile.

M

Jeffrey Phillips, the head of chemical
research for F.O.Y...

(tossing a photo of a man in
his early fifties w/black hair
into Bond's lap)

recently turned up dead... murdered.
A month before he was killed, he
testified against Alexander Apollo,
the head of F.O.Y. in a government
case accusing Apollo of using funds
for illegal research.

BOND

And you believe there's a connection.

M

The PM has asked me to assign a double-0
to investigate.

BOND

What's this illegal research you spoke of?

M

What do you know of the DTS Project, 007?

BOND

Death Too Soon... it was a top secret project
under the British government that developed
a biological agent that increased the aging
process of a human being.

M

Well done. According to Phillips, Apollo
was interested and spending millions of
dollars on trying to revive the project. The court said that it was ludicrious and they tossed the case out.

BOND

The Fountain Of Youth company trying
to create an age acceleration formula...
twisted.

M

I'm sending you to Lisbon, Portugal to investigate Apollo. He's touring the city
and his new research lab there.

BOND

Then I better be going. I'll contact you
when I arrive in Lisbon.

Bond gets up out of his seat and walks toward the door.

M

Don't forget to stop by Q-branch before
leaving. Q says he has a few new toys
for you.

INT. Q-LAB - LATER THAT DAY

Bond strides into Q-lab through the revolving doors. Technicians and assistants work on various machines and devices. Bond sees a hologram of a beautiful redhead in a bikini in the center of the room.

Bond approaches the hologram and smiles. After a couple of seconds, the beautiful image turns into an image of Q.
Bonds makes a strange face.

The hologram disappears and the actual Q approaches Bond.

BOND

Confused Q?

Q

We like to leave that to you, 007.

Bond gives a sarcastic smile.

Q

Follow me 007.

Q leads Bond through the room. As they are walking they pass an assistant who is tinkering with an umbrella. After a couple of seconds the tip of the umbrella falls off and fire shoots out, launching the assistant across the room like a jet.

Other assistants rush to help him out.

BOND

For a rainy day Q?

Q

Your not funny, 007.

BOND

Well, you know I try.

Q

Follow me, 007.

Q leads Bond to a table with various gadgets and gizmos. He picks up a palm pilot from the table.

Q

Your new palm pilot. Equipped with
a satellite linkup that will give you an
scan of any given location on earth.
It's also equipped with a keypad scanner.

BOND

Fabulous.

Bond takes the Palm Pilot and puts in his jacket pocket. He walks over to another table where there's a champain bottle. Bond walks over to the table and picks up the bottle. He pops the cork which hits the wall and explodes. Everyone in the room ducks for cover.

Q slowly rises from under a table... petrified.

Q

Bond!

BOND
( raising an eyebrow)

So this is what you waste tax-payer
dollars on?

Q

Well maybe if we're lucky, you'll be
killed in action and Q-Branch will be
spared further destruction.

Q picks up a silver lighter from the table and shows it to Bond.

Q

A harmless looking lighter. Twist the small
knob on the bottom of the lighter to adjust
the timer and... boom.

BOND
(smirking)

All that to light a cigarrette?

Q

We're serious about our work here, Bond.
We don't need you to come and make petty
jokes. Now if we could move on...

(picks up a bottle of pills from the
table)

This is by far our most innovative item
ever.

(opening the bottle and removing
a red pill)

These pills, when swallowed, will send
any human into cardiac arrest for about
1-2 minutes. The blue one dissolves in
water.

BOND

Ah, perfect for family dinners.

Q rolls his eyes.

Q

I have some work to do so be on
you way. I'll send you some new
toys later on in your mission

BOND

I'll send you a postcard.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Here's the next installment. Bond's life is once again put in danger while on a jetliner on his way to Lisbon. The scene seems out of place now, but will make much more sense when I post more of the script later on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

INT. JETLINER - BOND'S SEAT - THE NEXT DAY

Bond relaxes in his seat, reviewing various information about Alexander Apollo on a labtop.

BOND'S POV: An article with an image of a man in his forties with black hair appears on the screen. The headline above the picture reads: CHEMICAL KING DISMISSED OF ALL CHARGES.

Bond closes the labtop and places it into the overhead compartment. A latino man wearing a casual jacket, sits down in the empty seat to the right of Bond. The man smiles at Bond and places a knife at his mid-section, without anyone on the plane noticing.

BOND

Nifty trick, do you always bring a
knife when you fly?

LATINO

I'm not interested in what you have to say,
Bond. I was given orders to escort you.

BOND

I don't remember calling an escort
service, but I'll play along as long as it's
free.

The man presses the knife harder. Bond flinches a bit. The stewardness walks by.

STEWARDESS

Can I get you anything, Mr. Bond?

The man presses the knife a bit harder.

BOND

Yes, can I have two glasses of water please?

STEWARDNESS

Of coarse.

BOND
(smiling)

Thankyou.

The stewardess walks away.

LATINO

Don't push it Bond...

BOND

So, who sent you?

LATINO

Just a man whose interested in you.

The stewardess returns with two glasses of water and places them on the fold out table in front of Bond and the man.

BOND

Thankyou.

The stewardess walks away. The latino man turns around to make sure the stewardess is gone. When he turns back, Bond smashes his nose back with a furious elbow strike. The man sinks into his seat... dead. Bond takes a few sips of the water brought to him by the stewardess.

The stewardess passes by Bond's seat.

BOND

Excuse me, Miss....

(the stewardess turns to Bond)

Could you get my friend here a
pillow and blanket?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope you enjoyed it. Once again feel free to be as negative
(or positive :) ) as you like.
