"007" FOR GAME BOY--AN UNHEARD-OF GAME BOY GEM

I was in a used game store--GAMESTOP--and I was just about to leave when that number caught my eye in the section of older games. It was a 007 game for game boy. I bought it and boy was i happy i did. It includes many references to bond films including ODD JOB and a KAMAL KHAN sort of character called MR FEZ--if you have this game and think its as good for an old gameboy game as i do....then respond

I just recently started playing this game on my GameBoy Advance. I like it alot, it's fun. Some parts can be very challenging though.

I got it for Christmas '98 I think. A pretty fun game, more of a puzzle type than an action type. Yeah, good to see Odd Job and Jaws make cameo appearances. And M, Moneypenny and Q are all there too. Quite a few levels, Market place was an interesting level, I can't beleive a spent an hour following the "red fish" clue before coming to my senses (I was young then).

Great fun, but I finished the game in a couple of days, and there's not really much to warrant a second go around.

I got the game in March 1998 and for the time it was great. I've still got it around here somewhere. I'm thinking of picking up Nightfire for Game Boy Advance, but I'll probably wait for EB to knock the price down first.

The Mountain level in Tibet is hard- it took me quite a while, also, the final space station level is challenging--I want Nightfire also, but i think i'll wait for a price cut, too

Does the old gameboy James Bond 007 cartridge work on the new GameBoy Advance? This was before colour games right?

All Gameboy cartridges work on the Gameboy Advance and SP.

I had this game too but the end was far too hard where you had to dodge the lasers using the mirror and the shield as the cross pad didn't allow for you to walk in a diagonal line easily. The best part was the casino and the flipping couch in the Morroccan Q Lab.

So Nintendo claim, but I've never managed to get one of my Gameboy cartridges to run on the SP.

The casino mini games on that old 007 game were great. Nice little extra

thanks guys, I have the 007 cartridge now but I have still yet to play it. In retrospect I can't believe I missed out on the last few years of gaming (including N64 and goldeneye!)... I have been too busy with work and school and girlfriends. I mean I remember trying to play AVTAK & LALD on the C64, Stealth Affair, and they pretty much sucked, but LTK on the Amiga was lots of fun... Now that I have an XBOX I have to admit I can see why people get addicted, I love EON, and Nightfire and AUF is pretty good too, now I have played them at least... It is not just an XBOX to me, I bought to be a Bond Game Machine!

How many Bond games can I run on the Game Boy Advance hardware? I almost need a list of platforms and Bond games you can play on each one...

This question should be probably be in another topic but will TWINE and TND for PS1 play on PS2?

and whatever happen to TWINE for the PC?

Three: James Bond OO7, Nightfire and Everything or Nothing.

As far as I know, the PS2 is backwards compatible so yes, they will play.

It looked glorious didn't it? As far as I know, the developers were too busy working on the Playstation 2 version and so the PC aspect was put on a back burner. Eventually the whole project was dropped and Agent Under Fire was born from the ashes (correct me if I'm wrong). I got very excited about TWINE coming to the PC and I still have an old game magazine with a huge insider special on it.

If you want a Bond-ish experience in the form of a FPS then take a look at No-One Lives Forever 1&2 and I guarentee it won't dissappoint! It isn't Bond, in fact you play a female spy, but it is an excellent game. At one point two guards have a conversation about the new Bond film, OHMSS and talk about the torture scene in Casino Royale.

Hope that helped!
