I was 13 years old at the time and had only seen GE and TND before. I remember thinking it was better than TND, but worse than GE. I can't remember who went with me, but I expect maybe my dad and a friend. I don't remember being warned of the sexual content or violence in the film, but I'm also the same kid who saw Jurassic Park in theaters at the age of 6 or 7.

In 1996 I saw The Spy Who Loved Me on VHS, and then I became a massive Bond fan I eventually got all of them on VHS, I didn't care much at that time for the Brosnan films, I didn't feel they were Bond, but I desperately wanted to see The World is not Enough at the cinema, just for the hell of it but my parents wouldn't let me go (as TWINE was a 12 and I was only 9) so I waited for VHS. As I waited for Die Another Day to be released my parents let me go and see it as a birthday present for my 12th birthday, I saw it the Saturday after it was released - I was 11.

The first non-Brosnan Bond movie I saw was Dr. No on VHS. I then watched the entire series through in order (except for LALD and NSNA - if you want to count that one).
So Brosnan defined Bond movies for me, but Connery RE-defined them. I must admit, after the Brosnan movies, when I first saw Dr. No, it was very slow paced in comparison. I had to grow to like the older Bond movies of the by-gone era.

Tomorrow Never Dies was my first Bond. It was magic. The lead up to the Bond film with the media going beserk with television spots and reviews was the best.
The World is not Enough, Die Another Day and Casino Royale were brilliant experiences as well.

That makes me feel old! I was 24 when I saw TWINE!

LOL.
First one I saw in the cinema was NSNA and the first official Bond I saw in the cinema was TLD. Then I missed LTK because I was only 14 and it was rated 15.

Well, I had no trouble getting into 300 earlier this year -- then again, I saw it with my dear old Dad. Heh heh...

It was GoldenEye for me. I was just 16, and had become a Bond fan just a few years earlier, when Dalton was still Bond, but a couple of years after Licence to Kill had come out. I was so pumped to see Bond on the big screen, and absolutely loved every minute of it. I went back twice more. I've seen them all on opening day ever since, and always go see them at least three times in the theatre. I'm such a loser.
I remember seeing Goldeneye in the cinema and loved it. I wasn't a big fan of the score and I seem to remember that the myself and the rest of the audience sniggered when Bond jumped from the bike off the cliff and landed in the plane, but it was great fun.
I didn't see it again until I watched it on video in 1997.

Maybe the Moderators can add your Goldfinger comments to the end of this?

I remember the gunbarrel starting with Bill Conti's Funky 007 theme.
the crowd laughing aplauding cheering as bond hung on the side of the copter.
A great Night !!
