Die another day rivals Goldfinger as the bet Bond film ever, possibly even beating it. Brosnans Bond films get increasingly better, the plot of D.A.D was the most Bond- like ever. Arnolds score was magnificent, Halle Berry Should have her own spin - off as Jinx isthe best competition for Bond in the Wai Lin Vain. Though Toby Stevens sucked Rick Yune showd true menace as Zao. Finally Pierce Brosnan has to do at least one more movie as he Surpasses Sean Connery, your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

DAD is good, maybe great, but there is still many better Bond films that came before: FRWL, GF, TB, LALD, TSWLM, FYEO, OP, and TLD.
Well, it would be the most Bond-like if the basis of comparison is YOLT, DAF, TSWLM, and MR. As for my opinion of a "Bond-like" plot, I would see good examples as FRWL, GF, TB, TMWTGG, FYEO, OP, TLD, and LTK. When the plots are more down-to-earth like the novels, thats when it becomes Bond-like. I like the plot to DAD a lot, because I like the films I mentioned above (YOLT, DAF,TSWLM, and MR) that have the same feel, but in the end, "Bond-like" should be having to do with being close to aspects of the novels (where it all started).the plot of D.A.D was the most Bond- like ever
Disagree about Toby, he was great (Brosnan's best villain) but I do agree with you about Zao, he was menacing.Though Toby Stevens sucked Rick Yune showd true menace as Zao
Brosnan (although perhaps looks the best as Bond) will never surpass Connery. Pierce cannot perform with the loads of charisma, confidence, humor, and cruelty like Sean could. Sorry Craig Logan, it may seem like I'm ripping your post up, but I 'm not doing it hatefully or anything, I just want to express some differences. On the other hand, I like hearing a post like yours...I think DAD deserves more credit than it sometimes gets on the threads.Brosnan has to do at least one more movie as he Surpasses Sean Connery

I thought DAD was one of the best films in quite a while and I loved it's feel. I thought every actor was good in it and I really liked Toby Stephens, Rick Yune, and Rosamund Pike especially. I rank it in my top 5 but would not call it the best as GF will never be out done in my view. I liked it so much better than the similar type Bond films (YOLT, DAF,TSWLM, and MR) as everything seemed to click for me more than those 4. It has been the most enjoyable Bond movie for me in a very long time and I was raised in the Connery era who will always rule. DAD however is better, in my opionion, than Connery's YOLT or DAF.

I thought Die Another Day was far and away the best James Bond film, closely followed by GoldenEye. TND was disapointing, and TWINE does not have enough of a Bond feel to me. All 4 Brosnan films are highlights of the series in my eyes, and ones I would instantly reccomend.

My Last Post Was From a Friend of Mine, Habib. That was his point of view entierly, and although i do agree that DAD is The Best Bond Movie Yet, i dont agree with he Statement "Though Toby Stevens sucked Rick Yune showd true menace as Zao". Toby Stephens' Gustav Graves is My Favourite Bond Villain Yet, and although Zao was a good character, i felt he didn't have much to do in the movie.
