Never heard of this before untill I came across it on the below site:

Can anyone comfirm that.

Not sure about this, but the Bond producers are on record as saying that NASA really let them down.

I`ve read about this as well. And apparently the financial backers of the shuttle were getting nervous because of the delays, so NASA showed footage of moonraker to calm their fears.

as for EON feeling let down by NASA, i find this hard to believe as NASA provided all the technical info so that the special effects team could recreate the shuttle taking off etc.
